Comfy, cozy country diner with expected the fares and more! The strawberry pie we bought to take home was absolutely spectacular! It wasn't what my spouse had remember their strawberry pie being like from when he'd had it before... It was like a strawberry meringue pie type of deal which wasn't expected, but absolutely delicious! 😋 If you're looking for a family meal, a quiet night out, or just a cozy spot for yourself to grab a great burger - head on in!

Well came here with my family and was treated poorly. Bad service 100%. Word of advice, if you want to be left alone, no refills, dont nice waitress. Spend your money here, I won't anymore.

My wife and I eat here often. The food is great, the staff is amazing, the price is more than reasonable , and the atmosphere takes you back to a time when customers mattered and pride of business mattered.
Delicious southern style breakfast with superb pricing, and that southern comfort feel with great service.

Nice place good people, fast friendly service
We’d been wanting to try this restaurant for a few years. We live about 90 minutes away, so it isn’t a place we pass often. We decided to take a drive and ended up here for lunch.
The positives:
-our waitress was a very sweet young lady. She was attentive.
-the homemade Ranch dressing
-the tater tots
The negatives:
- we basically paid over $50 for tater tots and Ranch dressing. The catfish nuggets were hard (guessing they were frozen originally) and tasted like old/burnt grease. The clam strips were over fried and had little flavor. The fries were undercooked. French fries shouldn’t be limp. I asked our waitress if we could have new fries because ours weren’t completely cooked and she said absolutely. She told the older lady in the kitchen about the fries and we could hear the lady yelling/shouting/talking very loud (whatever) out in the dining room. My daughter was so embarrassed. The lady told the waitress to bring out some fries that were already cooked. And guess what? They were as limp as the first batch. One would think that if someone states something is undercooked, the cooking time would be increased the next time. Not so here. My husband said his patty melt was “fair.”
We spent over $50 and left hungry. We ended up at a Chic-fil-a a short time later.
Maybe the cook was having an off day. Not sure. We won’t go back though.
We enjoyed the old pictures of Borden hanging inside the restaurant. And again, we had a very sweet waitress. I wish I could recall her name.
(The fry pictured was not the worst one)

-I was just there after leaving a family reunion. We stopped in for a late breakfast (five of us). The food was great and the service was better!
I never rate anywhere this high but these guys are fantastic. I really wish I didn't live 200 miles away!
We had breakfast, Biscuit/gravy really good. Really good..Quick to refill coffee and water.
I always give my Honest opinion on this thing. We drove from Seymour IN. To try it out. Was it worth the drive. No. We showed up right at the end of there rush and it took close to 45 minutes to get our food. And with a 2 year old that was enough waiting if you know what I mean. The food and the ice tea were exactly what I expected! Very good! If you enjoy watching child labor this is the place. An employee's son which are not part of the family! Was working harder then an kid I have every seen!
I stopped in the Buckboard Diner yesterday morning for my first visit, and I was delighted by the fact it was every bit as good as others said it was! The servings included generous portions, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. I can't wait for my next visit! Highly recommend!
