“I eat here occasionally and let me tell you it's always great, but however one day last year I was eating here on my son's birthday. We already did the party and stuff the weekend before so it was just his actual birthday but we decided to eat lunch during my lunch hour here. he told me he wanted to have lunch with Daddy on his birthday so we had lunch. We were talking and they overhead it was his birthday and brought him out a desert and sang Happy birthday to himbin Spanish and gave him a little sombrero head band. Little things like that are what creates memories.”

“This food was fantastic!!! Drove to Bremen from Elkhart for some work. Not alot of options for food here. Walked in and was greeted by the workers, very nice and very quick to acknowledge my presence. They helped me decide which blizzard to get and suggested the southwest bacon burger. Everything came out quick, hot, and so yummy. Definitely will be back next month.”

“My company ordered in lunch for us on Friday. Pizzas from Shortstop. Words can not adequately describe how good these pizzas were. Our area is really devoid of ANY good pizza. THIS is the pizza I've been looking for since we moved to the area years ago! I will be ordering regularly from this place. We also plan to go for dinner one day very soon. If the service is slow, we will be fine with it, as good help is VERY hard to find today. Learn to be patient with people doing their best under difficult circumstances.”

“Yes this is the old Hill Top restaurant, it's not flashy but the new owners took over in Jan 2025. Most people don't know it is rebranded and reopened. Ken and Sue Newland are the new owners. They are warm and inviting, if you show up last minute they will greet you with a smile and pull up a chair and I was reminded on my visit of old fashioned friend's that are always looking forward to seeing you. The place itself is dated but it is a oasis that sits in the heart of Lakeville Indiana. My server was Gretchen from the servers to the owners this little gem screams small town family restaurant, when you walk in you know immediately you are welcome wanted and important. We enjoyed a good meal for 2 for less than 20 bucks, and if you travel through Lakeville make sure you check for the open sign stop in, shrug off the day get a good cup of coffee, and relax.”
