What a gem! Cute local spot, atmosphere was welcoming, friendly and cozy. Food was delicious! I specifically liked their coffee was not too weak and a little on the stronger side which I appreciated (along with some flavored creamers) an entire coffee bar set up at the entrance to make your own coffee & mix in your own syrups even offering grab and go sandwiches and lunch items. I had some time to kill so decided to stop here rather than a fast food chain for breakfast. I often forget how much of a gem these little downtown dinners are. The food was good. The service was great! The Bremen downtown are was charming! Do yourself a favor, avoid the fast food line, eating in your car, getting your steering wheel greasy and dropping crumbs. Take 30 minutes and sit down at a dinner!

My friend and I ate at Carmen’s both Friday and Saturday of this Weekend (9/20 and 9/22/25). The staff is extremely friendly. The diner itself is very cutely decorated and the food is amazing. Nice size portions. I had their biscuits and gravy today and it was outstanding. I also had a one scrambled egg with cheese and the scrambled eggs was so fluffy and light I had to go back and talk to Carmen about how it was made. Apparently, the secret is the Amish brown eggs.
