Wow what an amazing quaint little getaway.
Wonderful country setting way up high above the river!!! Perfect date night!! Next time I’m grabbing takeout.
Nifty little gift shop. But it’s really about the wine they make from start to finish right there on site. A retired couple doing it right.
Free tastings and great wine by the glass or bottle. These are the establishments we need to go out of our way to patronize!!! …and tip them well for what they offer.

Best winery in the world. Hands down!

Great sweet wines and one of the best views of any winery we have been to in the midwest.

My group and I stopped in on a lovely Saturday afternoon for some tasting and bottles. We sat on the shaded patio. The tastings are complementary which is really great so you are able to try as much as you would like to determine what’s the best choice for you and your group. The focus of the wine list is very much American grapes as all the grapes are grown in Indiana but not necessarily on the property, however they do grow some. The wines skew a little sweeter which is typical of American grape varieties. We settled on two bottles which was plenty for our group. We were also able to bring all of our own food and water. They had live music playing and the group was very talented.

Beautifu wine, grounds and owners!

What a great experience we had here on an early Saturday afternoon in April. The owners were lovely, as we were given an impromptu tour of the grounds and buildings before enjoying a glass of excellent wine. The views are amazing and there are so many little spots to sit and enjoy the day. We had our dog with us and he was allowed everywhere we were. On the road up to the winery there is a turnoff that takes you to the Celtic Cross, a beautiful carving in a large block of sandstone. A very fun place with a unique vibe. There is even a cottage to rent on the property.

What an amazing place, settled high on a hill overlooking the river, it’s just beautiful. The owner Lynn went through all of her wines and we had great conversations. We all found our favorite wines to take home and enjoy this weekend. Highly recommended!

Amazing little winery in the hills alongside the Ohio River. Beautiful decor, and location with excellent wine. The Table wine is incredible. Can't wait to revisit!

I cannot imagine giving Blue Heron anything other than 5 stars! We stumbled upon this winery while motorcycle riding through this beautiful area. They were so welcoming! Lynn asked us what type of wine we liked and had several options lined up quickly. The peaceful nature of the winery and beautiful view were a real treat. We cannot wait to return!

Blue Heron makes a variety of fun wines! The Celtic Cross is worth The Visit alone. Wonderful cabin to stay in with a great view of the river and some pretty darn good food!
