Quintessential coal mining, southern Indiana town diner, excellent home cooked, traditional fare, hard working ladies, separate bar and restaurant sides. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend if doing the scenic byway or Cannelton hiking area

Interesting their hours say until 9pm. That probably should be updated. We showed up at 7:05pm and were turned away because they were closed but the door was unlocked and people were inside. My suspicion is that they didn't feel like serving us because business was very slow and they wanted to close early. Can't speak for the food or service but don't show up after dark or you won't get any.

A true old time bar experience. Food is delicious, they also cater....and the fried chicken is amazing for any gathering you may have!!!!!

Lots of food for the price. Service was excellent.
Had a blast with my two fav girls.the bartender (a blonde can't remember her name but she needs a raise)was fricken awesome we came on Sunday morning after cleaning a house and was starving,they fed us well and we played three games of darts had great time thanks Lawsons bar and grill.
