We got two pitchers of the Mango Margarita frozen. As a juice, its was good 10/10. However, as an alcoholic drink 0/10, there was no alcohol! Mind you I'm a light weight and I had 2 full glasses and I didn't even feel a tingle. I thought I just couldn't taste the alcohol b/c it was that good but I think they just didn't add it. They sure did charge me for it though.Chips and salsa were good though.

Parking: Limited number of spots behind the building. Less than 3 marked spots unless you want to walk half a mile from the garage at city center

Very good food and atmosphere. Im guessing most of the negative reviews are on service. Our experience was really cool met the owner . And this location is VERY busy so I understand.I was surprised how good the food was, carnitas nachos were killer and was huge! Great to share with friends, drinks are balanced will definitely come back and learned there are more locations and its family owned. Well done.

Came around brunch time and it was great. The chips and salsa they bring out first are so authentic and the salsa taste so good. I ended up getting the Chorihuevos with a freshly made horchata. The food was amazing, perfect level of spice and chorizo was cooked perfectl! 10/10 will be her again

Agave Bar and Grill is a definite stop in Carmel for Mexican food. The margaritas are huge and with an expansive choice of drinks you will surely find the right margarita for you. There are a few tables available for outdoor seating and the ambiance on the inside is done well. This is a Mexican restaurant that has that comfortable feeling where you might have a margarita or two or three or floor. The parking is always a situation in Carmel but the lot in back provides a close walk. There are some signs though that warn to not park in this or that parking space. I would definitely come back to Agave Bar and Grill even if it were just for drinks. The food itself is just as you can imagine, an expansive food menu with the standard Mexican fare you would expect to find. Have a drink, stay awhile and enjoy!

Service was attentive but not overbearing; gave us the time to chat before ordering, and food was brought out quickly. Drinks were well made, and food was filling and flavorful. Chips were standard, but other than that a great place for a solid meal.

Ordered 2 meals and an appetizer to go. They did not give us the side of rice for both meals. Food was bland and not seasoned. The Agave Dip which was beef, beans, and cheese was SO watery that you could not even dip the chips in it, it was mostly just onions. So disappointing.

We enjoy coming on Sunday afternoons. Not many people. Service is good and our food has always been great! Never disappointed. We humorously think the salsa has an "Italian taste" to it. It's good, but just doesn't seem all that Mexican for some reason. We still love coming here!
