When Barry bagels first opened they were friendly, bagels were fresh and they served a generous portion of cream cheese. Sodas were well stocked. Recently, the serve a very light smear of cream cheese, and are out of diet soda. The atmosphere is casual and quiet but not overly friendly. I believe ownership may have changed as well. Not the same vibe!

Amazing. My 10 yr old niece just started to eat bagels other than plain bagels. She tried their pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese and loved it!!! A must try! She will be asking to come back.

Every time I go home to Ohio I get Barry’s Bagels! I’ve loved them for 50 years. I was so excited when one opened in Carmel. I have no idea how the Carmel location can get it so wrong. I’ve now tried it three times and the bugs should have been worked out by now. Today’s order: 6 bagels (the seem fine and smell good) and plain creamed cheese 1/2 lb container seems ok.

But more than one ingredient and all hell seems to break loose there. Buy one get one free toasted blueberry bagel and creamed cheese (Uber Eats wouldn’t even let me select 2 different bagels, which would have been awesome) and yet one was blueberry and one was plain (gross!!) so that got pitched. And the reason I ordered at all was for my raisin bagel with cream cheese and corned beef (I know sounds weird right?) that I’ve been ordering for decades; no creamed cheese???, very little corned beef and it was dry….for over $15?!? I’m done! I’ll just stick to ordering in Toledo or going to Shapiro’s downtown! What a horrid disappointment!!! Three strikes and you’re out.

Bagels were solid. Employees did their job, but didn’t go over the top. Would recommend more of a strong atmosphere as well as it feels like a watered down Jimmy John’s. Location is great, parking could be difficult.

I decided to give Barry's another try after my previous unpleasant experience. I must say, the service was polite and fast, which I truly appreciated.

However, I was very disappointed with the bagels. They were barely the size of my small hand and unfortunately undercooked. My family was truly hoping to have a fresh bagel bakery we could visit weekly, but this fell short of our expectations. For the price, I expected much better quality.

With the high costs of everything, it’s unrealistic for this franchise to expect success when a family has to spend approximately $35—including tip—for such a small offering. I'll give the new management some time to work out the kinks before I consider trying again.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT AND DANGEROUS LIES ABOUT ALLERGENS.

*Allergy Warning!!* Despite the Barry’s Bagel website claiming to be peanut and tree nut free, this location offers peanut butter as a spread.

The website clearly states that they do not allow nuts in the food prep area, and that’s a bold lie considering how dangerous these allergies can be.

Please reconsider your allergen statements as they are not truthful.

I had these bagels at a work holiday party this week and the next day I was the first customer at the store. 🙂

Great customer service and the food is so delicious! The bagels have the perfect amount of chewiness and outer crust. I love the everything bagel with the jalapeño smear.. 🔥🔥🔥

I will return!

Had a great experience at Barry’s Bagels. I was so impressed by how fresh the bagels were at the ample amount of cream cheese they put on it! It’s how true bagel shops do it. I just returned from a trip to New York and would compare my bagel to Ess-a-bagel. Love having New York -like bagels here in Carmel! The owners and employees were also very friendly and great with my two little girls. We’ll definitely be back !

Great bagels/sandwiches! Environment is good. Needs more seating! I'm originally from Toledo where the original restaurant was started and I ate there regularly!

Food was good, haven’t had a good bagel sandwich in a while. I informed the worker it was my first time there and was told it’s like subway then asked anything else after every topping I added. Felt rushed won’t be back

Bagels are good. A real bagel that is boiled before they bake them, unlike Panera and Einstein. The bad reviews I read were too much cream cheese there bagel. I always ask for a light amount of cream cheese when I order a bagel. The owners seemed to quickly respond to negative reviews to address any issues! Worth a try if you haven’t
