Took my brother for his birthday dinner. The service was horrible. Had to ask multiple times for just Lemons and never got them. The food was good. I just wish that all plates came with both rice and beans. Overall, I'd love to give it a second chance the food made up for the service mostly.

used to do pick up a lot. Now they have a one dollar takeout fee and increased the price of everything on the menu by 30%. This is Mexican food the cheapest food on the planet to make in the people that work there work on Tips. So where is all this extra money going? Owners pockets. PURE GREED. Drive south to a nicer and cheaper place. You won't regret it. Now, if you actually feel like going there, they never have enough servers, despite being never busy either. There's never a time when you wont encounter a crying baby either.

Tha food was okay, not great but okay. The service was terrible. They never came to ask if the food was okay and never gave me a refill on my soft drink.Would not really recommend this place.

Food was good! We came an hour before close which I try to avoid, but unfortunately needed to stop in with my sister getting into town late. There was a funny smell when we walked in, the bathrooms are located at the entrance of the restaurant and I think that may have been the issue. Our server was patient with us. The strawberry marg with sugar rim was great and just the right amount of tequila. I'd be back, honestly every bit of the food we had was good, they were generous with the chips and salsa too.

Coming from the west coast, I've had my fair share of out of this world Mexican cuisine....but I feel like there's no seasoning, not even on the chicken just overall very bland. Don't be afraid to spice things up. Some people can handle flavor . The hostesses were very friendly and accommodating, the server.... Well anyway. I prob will give it another try and see other dishes might be better.
This place used to be our favorite Mexican place in the area. Food was good, convenient location and service good. But time changes everything. The last several times we have been here, sitting in bar area, we cannot get waited on! Lots of staff and people walking around but no-one really working much. Very sad....Not sure if ownership changed or mgmt, but it's not the same Calliente. We will be looking for our new fav mexi place!

So I had lunch today with my family in this location we are visiting from Los Angeles CA and I'm currently pregnant craving Mexican food . The food was TERRIBLE to begin with salsa for the chips had no flavor taste completely blended .My oldest daughter got a burrito that was effortlessly wrapped and completely fall apart when she bagged to eat it . My husband got enchiladas that tasted like ravioli sauce completely out of a can . I got myself a Chile Riano with rice the rice was completely stale like it was old and the chile riano was wet and taste less . Completely Disappointed. The Service was completely mediocre the waitress Gave OK service and when it came down to paying our bill that was around 80$ I honestly was so disappointed I didn't want to Tip the lady and my husband instead so he left her 5$ and she came back to my table and left the money on the table And Said " was my service not good enough that I got 5 dollars " we were completely confused and said it was okay and demanded more Tip money and said she lives of Tips I said I'm sorry about that but it's your job we are not obligated to Tip you exchange a few words with her and dismissed her from our table before things got ugly.Completely Rude and Ungrateful. The whole experience was distasteful very disappointing !!!!
