Cancun Mexican Restaurant

I’m sure these are nice and well meaning people that have purchased what used to be known as the Cancun Restaurant on Rangeline Rd in Carmel , In. Unfortunately they have severely changed the quality of their dinners. My traditional chicken fajita was 1/2 what it used to be. The dinner had half the veggies as well and it is simply a far cry from the sizzling delicious meals I used to get there. It’s more like a cafeteria meal that has been thrown together out of air sealed plastic bags that you might get at an airport. I strongly encourage them to return to the original cooking methods and ban the cafeteria / airport methods of cooking Mexican food and quit being cheap with the veggies !!!

Great Mexican food. Nice flavors and they actually have some heat and spices in their dishes should you like an authentic flavor.

It was fine. Food was overpriced for the quality. Restaurant was nice, service was good. If you're looking for Mexican food at a fair price there are better options in the area.

food was good but overpriced. New managers need to learn how to train staff. We were the only people in restaurant and the waiter couldn’t even serve us properly. She was standing at the host stand on her phone, actively ignoring us laughing with other coworkers eating, didn’t make sure food was up to standard, we were out of drinks and chips for over five minutes as the only people in the restaurant. We brought this issue to the manager‘s attention and he offered no resolution service was absolutely awful. No wonder there was nobody else in the restaurant. Food did not make up for the awful service. I used to love the restaurant that was there, but will never come back here. Get this problem taken care of.

This is a great Mexican restaurant with unbelievable food. Way better than the average Mexican restaurant around here. You can tell they make everything fresh.

Anyone know what happened to the old Cancun server, Vicky?

Very limited menu, no chimichangas. Was better when it was Cancun. Server was not very attentive.

I highly recommend. Food was Great. Dishes came out hot and delicious. I had El Pastor tacos and the person I was with had the Arroz Con Polios. Portions were generous, seasoned perfectly, came out hot and vegetables were fresh. Staff was great very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself was very clean.Prices were reasonable.I am planning to go back often.

Came for a meetup of friends and took home some Churros. They were amazing, definitely coming back for more food. Will update and add more info afterwards.
