I’ve lived in Carmel for ten years and have never been to City BBQ until tonight! My husband had gone for the first time recently and wanted me to try it. I got the Loaded BBQ Potato and it is AMAZING. I didn’t even know what Alabama sauce was, but trust me, it’s delicious. I also don’t know how they got the baked potato SO crispy (ordered for carry out and it was still crispy when I got home!), but that was a fun surprise. Even though I’m currently trying to stop eating this one (bc I’m stuffed), I’m already looking forward to eating the next one. Thx!

I can’t say enough about this location! I have been to several City Barbecues in Ohio and Indiana including the mother store in Dublin Ohio area and I’ve never had food as great as this location everything was perfect the meat was moist and tender the sides hot and fresh! The service though was what did it for me! All the staff was great but the manager that was working when we stopped was by far the nicest and sweetest person I’ve met in the food industry! Her name was Bobbie she was the first person we saw upon arrival and she quickly greeted us with the biggest warm smile and quickly asked how we were doing. She noticed we were looking all over the menu trying ti decide what we wanted on this visit and asked if she could help or answer any questions this was next level most just leave you standing there. We asked for recommendations and instead of just giving the well i like this or that she asked what kind of meats and sides we typically like. She then proceeded to give us options based on our response and even offered a sample. She and another employee brought our food out yo us at the table we sat down at she asked if we needed any sauces or refills this is not typical of a city bbq they usually leave you on your own. She returned about 5-10 min later to ask how we liked everything and if there was anything’s she could get us. The level of service she provided was astonishing and will get our patronage every time we are in the area. Hands down i wouldn't consider going anywhere else after the service her and her staff provided! Whoever placed her in a manager position knew the gem they hired! If every location had leadership like hers that shows their staff how to properly take care of a customer their location would be top notch! Normally my reviews are far and in between and often due to a bad experience but this incredible experience deserves to be talked about! Highly highly recommend this location and if you go there i hope you get to meet that manager named Bobbie she will make your day with her infectious smile and incredible service!
Within the last year, some of their items have been extremely hit-or-miss such as the brisket. Half the time or more these days, it has been served to us very dry and stiff with no juice in the takeout container. It is extremely disappointing as a long time customer(ever since they opened). Their chicken has been more consistent, but I swear we've seen an uptick in cartilage and bone mixed in. Their sides are good as always, but jeez, you are a BBQ restaurant, please have a consistent recipe. We have had AWESOME brisket here too, but I'm not trying to gamble whether I enjoy my food or not.

Staff were friendly. Restaurant was clean. Carryout was on time. Wings were phenomenal, brisket/toast (they wrapped the toast separate from the meat so it wouldn’t get soggy), and Cobb salad were really good. I left a review and the manager contacted me that night…wow! Very happy and will be back!

Awesome food! Outstanding service! Amazing Service! Hayliegh, customer service, was the best part of the visit! She was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful in steering me towards one of the best meals I have had in quite some time. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

The food was great! The service was fast! And the staff was friendly! We are from the west coast and the workers were so kind letting us sample food and make recommendations. They brought us dessert to try since it was our first time here. If we move here, I’ll definitely be back!
