I hired this place for my wedding cake on 08/25. I tried many places and I really liked the taste of their cake, but unfortunately it was not what I ordered or what we had agreed on. The bakery had asked me to bring the flowers so they could place them on the cake, so I arrived at the venue at 1:55 pm (the rental started at 2:00 pm). However, when I got there, the cake had already been delivered before the agreed time, without any notice or communication. It was left there without decoration or flowers, which caused me a collapse with a lot of stress on my own wedding day. I had to find last-minute help to fix the situation. The cake tasted good, but the lack of communication, responsibility, and compliance left me deeply disappointed.

The cake was not only stunning but felt like a perfect extension of the rest of our day. And the flavors... wow! The lemon and raspberry rose were both out of this world — light, fresh, and full of flavor. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good it was (and we completely agree)! We placed an order for a wedding cake with Classic Cake online about 3-4 months ahead of time to give them plenty of time. Megan followed up with us promptly and offered several dates for taste checking. She was very professional and warm and brought all the flavors and fillings we requested for. On the event day the cake was delivered right on time and was sitting on the table when I entered the room. It was a beautiful scene to look. With her help we chose the perfect cake for our daughter's reception. The texture, flavor and above all the tase were awesome. We highly recommend Classic Cake for specialty events.

I purchased cakes from classic cakes for many many many years when my children were smaller and then into adulthood for birthdays, graduations, and other events. The cakes were always delicious and beautiful however, there is one designer that does not listen to what you ask for. When you tell her, the team colors are red, she made the cake green. When I told her I needed a sculpture of a specific dog and even sent a picture she made it anything but that dog. I realize that a certain amount of artistic license goes into this, but there were at least 10 times when the cakes were not what was ordered, and I didn’t say anything because I needed to pick them up and take them to the event the day that I picked them up and what do you do when the cake is wrong and you need it that day? Everybody said the cakes tasted good so we were fine, but it is disappointing to not get what you ordered.

Never responded to my inquiry for a quote. I received a thank you email stating that they would get back to me and never did. This was over 3 weeks ago. There is something going on with this company, things have drastically changed since changing ownership.

Our wedding cake from Classic Cakes was beautifully done just the way we wanted it to look. The details were perfect, and the custom gum paste flowers were a great alternative to real flowers. We also received a lot of compliments from our guests on how delicious it was! During our tasting, we couldn’t choose just one flavor, so we were very happy to be able to pick two (classic white and red velvet). Both were very fresh and tasty!
There was a little difficulty with communication via e-mail, but Megan is a hard worker and her dedication to her business does not go unnoticed. The final product definitely did not fall short of our expectations. We would recommend Classic Cakes for any cake needs!

We used classic cakes for our wedding in January. Their cake and cupcakes they made for us tasted absolutely amazing! All our guests really enjoyed their products. That being said, our complaints revolve around the owner, who we were in contact with the whole time leading up to the wedding. First, communication with Megan was subpar and unprofessional, and required many follow-up emails on our end to get a response. When we were finalizing numbers to make our payment, we had no response from her for a week. So we sent a follow-up email, and it took another 4 days to receive a response that had incorrect information in it. We corrected her 2 days later due to a holiday and then she responded demanding a payment by the end of that day, even though it was her fault the process took that long. Second, while planning numbers and budget, Megan did not have a very organized system to make it clear. This resulted in us having to do a lot of work on our end to crunch numbers and guess how much we needed along with the total payment. This caused us unnecessary stress and work on our end, when we were supposed to be the clients. Finally, on the day of our wedding, we were informed to place our cake decorations on the table for them to place on the cake when they arrived. We did just that, however, our cake was not decorated correctly, resulting in it looking unfinished. This is frustrating when Megan was given a picture of what the cake was supposed to look like. We do love Classic Cakes' products, but we hope they take this feedback into consideration when working with future clients.
TLDR - Cake was amazing. Customer service is not.

We paid over $100 for an anniversary cake for my wife’s parents’ anniversary party 2 1/2 hours away. We were told it would be ready at 4:00. It wasn’t. We had to sit there almost 45 minutes while someone quickly threw one together for us. No discount/coupon/anything was offered for our inconvenience. When we took it out of the box, there was a big bubble on the side where the icing was coming off the cake. It was pretty good cake, but the icing is too sweet and it’s not THAT much better than something you get a Kroger. It was prettier though (minus the hole in the side). I expected a higher level of service for the price we paid, but that was just not the case. I would recommend going somewhere else.
