The server we had almost ruined our meal. He would not leave us to enjoy our meal. Very pushy. Over recommended menu items after we already had chosen our entrees.

We are longtime patrons of Convivio, but went there recently and it was not good. The pizza oven was not working, so I ordered pasta with pomodoro sauce (off the menu, but pomodoro sauce was listed as an ingredient in other items, and a simple tomato sauce should be something any Italian restaurant can pull together.) What I got was a watery, soupy mess overwhelmed by garlic. No tomatoes or tomato puree to be found--it was like they took a tiny bit of tomato sauce and mixed it with water. It was so thin it didn't even coat the pasta. Totally unappetizing, and when the waitress came to take plates away at the end, she didn't even question why one had hardly been touched. Another in our party had the bolognese and said it was bland and flavorless. We ate in the bar area, and tiny gnats were everywhere. I'm sad to write this review, because we have dined at Convivio since it first opened, but I think it will be awhile before we go back. Extremely disappointing.

I ordered the Olive e Fichi. It was tasty. Especially for those who enjoy the combination of figs and olives which was new to me but I liked the taste. It's a vegetarian pasta. Great ambience

I attended with my parents (senior citizens) and my children (ages 8, 6, and 3). I understand we are not the target demographic for convivio, but we did attend on a Sunday at 5pm, and I don't think our behavior was disruptive to the point of ruining the experience for others. I mention this as I sensed coldness and annoyance from our waitress. We also requested, politely, for certain dishes to be cut in a certain way, heated a bit more, or with toppings on on side and not the other. Our requests were either denied or granted with an air of displeasure. I understand customization is not always possible given the nature of kitchen protocols, but a cold demeanor is not the correct response. Also, if one runs an establishment charging higher prices, a higher degree of service is a reasonable expectation.

We went in for our 29th anniversary, restaurant had 4 tables at 6 on a Thursday. Our waitress was way more concerned with not doing anything at all. She was nice but she interacted with us 3 times the hour and a half we were there, one to impatiently take our order and 2 to drop off drinks. She did EXCEL at not making any eye contact to avoid her tables, the table next to us agreed and commented multiple times between each other (we knew that because they were on top of our booth). The meatballs were delicious, my husband's squid ink was very good. The ravioli...inedible, I attached a picture, it was SCALDING hot, absolutely no flavor (I dumped so much salt and pepper in it but ewwww), it was pale, every single ravioli was broke open so the cheese (if they used any) was completely disintegrated, the noodle was so overcooked it was actually hard again. TERRIBLE. Based on that server (or lack there of) and that ravioli, I would never go back, no matter how good some other things were. I can eat canned ravioli by Chef-Boyardee and be ignored my family for free and still be happier. I was so disappointed because it had been so highly recommended by some friends of ours.

Our start was a little rocky. Our table was given to someone else. Looks like the other party assumed our name but the manager and the hostess were apologetic about it and got us a table pretty quickly. The pastas were amazing!! Wines excellent. Great place to celebrate my mother in law’s 70th.Kid-friendliness: My son had a great time. They even did half orders of the pasta, which was great for him.

Best gluten free pasta I've ever had. Great staff and service. I've already returned to have it again.

This was my first time visiting convivio. I loved everything about it from our waiter/bartender Cory he was absolutely the best. The atmosphere is definitely a vibe especially if you're looking for a nice date spot or just a girls night out you will love it. When I say Cory knows how to make a drink!!! I loved the Italiano Lavender 75. This drink was so good it had my taste buds doing a little dance. He recommended I try the Tagliatelle al Convivio I got extra sauce because I'm a saucy girl. The homemade sauce and noodles was so fresh. I will say it a little spicy if you like spicy you will love it. If you're a wimp like me you might want to ask for no spice

The food is always excellent and the service is too. Ambiance is good too. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it is so noisy inside.
