El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant

We had such a great experience at El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant in Carmel. What a fun, inviting place. The atmosphere felt warm and lively the moment we walked in, and every interaction—from the hostess to our server—was friendly, upbeat, and full of smiles. They answered all our questions, made recommendations, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Service was excellent across the board. Our drinks were topped off without us ever having to ask, and the chips and salsa kept coming. Our food arrived quickly, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My daughter loved her carne asada tacos. I ordered the enchiladas verdes with cheese enchiladas, and the cheese was creamy and perfectly cooked—not dry or rubbery at all. My partner, who is vegan, had the veggie fajitas and she said they were excellent. It’s worth noting they have a surprisingly robust vegetarian menu, which isn’t always the case at places like this. Despite being in a pretty nondescript strip mall, the restaurant itself is a gem. It was the perfect spot to sit down, relax, and enjoy a good meal after a long, full day. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Great place to eat and in my regular rotation. I like going on weekends and sit outside weather permitting. Great chips and salsa. I like getting a small house margarita. Typically share fajitas or a quesadilla with my gf. They also have great lunch specials I like the carnitas bowl. Very good.

When we first arrived, it took 15 mins
for someone to acknowledge us just a
party of 2 then once we were seated one
of the employees was carrying to many
dishes and dropped everything including a
bowl of salsa which landed all over me, my
clothes my smart watch and also my hair
and I wear my natural hair which is 4c type
hair and this day I had my hair straighten,
My friend then spoke with a manager and
she said that this has never happened
before and it was just an accident and did
nothing to rectity the situation, I was not
looking to have my bill clear or anything
but a simple sorry would have been
appreciated but instead I was met with
sorry not sorry. Needless to say I will never
return to this restaurant and will not
suggest them to anyone.

Forget taking your kids to Indy Scream park, take them to El Rodeo. They have such a fun atmosphere, the food is delicious, and the staff are super sweet. (The queso is also never watered down, if thats a worry for queso lovers.)

I took my 5 year old son here for the first time & he said it's the best Mexican food he's ever had in his life. He's very passionate about it. For that reason I give the overall experience a 10/10. Seriously delicious food. Salsa is off the charts.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and an order of tacos for one of my staff members. Charged me for chips and salsa and my bill was a total of $65! When I called to question why the bill so high and why my "quesadilla" is the size of a small taco for the price of $15, they were about as unfriendly as it gets. Will NEVER be back to this establishment.
