Stopped here tonight for supper with our daughter, I was very disappointed. My husband and daughter loved the oysters. I order crab cake entree with mac and cheese and cauliflower, very disappointing, all was very bland , I only took one bite of the crab cake, was gluey and tasted like playdough. They did offer to get me something different but I was so disappointed that I didn’t want to try anything else. They did give me partial credit. We travel a lot and dine out frequently, I don’t usually complain but when I do I expect a manager or the chef come out and ask how they can improve and ask why I didn’t care for dish. They did not approach me which to me means they don’t care. We had excellent service from Phoebe, however I would not recommend this establishment and they were pricey for the quality of food

We were in town for a soccer tournament this past weekend, and Fork & Ale House went above and beyond to accommodate our group of about 30 on Friday night. Jeff, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. Our server was awesome—friendly, attentive, and kept things running smoothly. The food was fantastic and came out impressively fast for such a large group.
If we’re ever back in Carmel, Fork & Ale House will definitely be one of our go-to spots. Highly recommend!

Ordered food from here while in the plaza, great amount per portion, just the right temperature for the food. Good wings, crunchy outside, and a soft inside, with a side of ranch. Pizza was above average, stringy, but very tasty, very large pieces. Did not go inside, or sit inside, therefore don't know how good the service was or the seating within the restaurant. But good outside seating, many places to sit, great atmosphere, very calm and very pleasant. Highly recommend this restaurant for your stay.

Staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Unfortunately the food was not good for the price. Overall not a bad place to have a drink with friends.

It started out bad when I asked for a sort table. The host said that I should have requested that when I made the reservation. True, but I missed that and didn't need to be snipped at about it. He could have just said that he would seat me when a table became available. The food was good. Atmosphere was nice. I think they should have had the outdoor heaters on a bit earlier. Dining on the patio was pretty chili. Now that I know how to request a table properly, I may go back and avoid the ire of the host.

Dined in Saturday 7/26/2025. At around 9 pm, the restaurant was pretty full. The manager on duty, began yelling and shouting profanities at the young girl (clearly half his age) making drinks. She was shaken up and bleeding from her hands, not sure what happened leading up to this but it left a very bad taste in our mouths. The food was alright, we had absolutely no problem with our drinks, our server did a good job, but we will not be returning. My boyfriend and I both work in the restaurant industry and this was extremely unsettling, unprofessional, and really took away from our first (and definitely last) experience at Fork and ale.

Overall a good experience. Would go to enjoy the company of friends. Got the tenderloin and it was flavorless and dry. Fried pickles were excellent. Server was friendly and attentive.

My wife and I drove up to Indy to meet some friends for lunch. We selected Fork & Ale on a recommendation from a family member and we were NOT disappointed!
Located right off of the Midtown Greenspace in Carmel, the restaurant caters to everyone with a little bit of everything on the menu. It was a beautiful day and although the inside of the restaurant was very appealing we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the weather. We were promptly seated and drink orders taken as well as an appetizer of fried pickles. Yum!
Our drink orders were brought out in short order and we ordered our lunch. I had the build your own burger special and it was cooked to perfection and exactly as ordered. My wife had the southwestern crunch wrap, and my friends enjoyed a chicken quesadilla and a brisket sandwich. We each had a side of fries and they, too, were very well prepared!
Thank you for an enjoyable lunch!
This will be our go-to whenever we're in Indy and I would definitely recommend this establishment!
