Went in on Saturday wanting to place a pizza to go. Was totally ignored by one lady whose name I still don’t know because she didn’t bother to reply when I talked to her. I thought she was just too focused for a second so I waited. Yet I waited for nothing. There was a gentleman around too and he didn’t check on us either. Ended up not placing the order, left and went some place else. I heard the pizza is good there, unfortunately I’ll never know.

Horrible Horrible experience! Went in for my usual order as I am a frequent customer here and service was a complete JOKE! The usual staff wasn't on shift today unfortunately so Elija took my order; with a very bland attitude i might add. (No biggie) I overlooked this because we all wish we were at home when at work sometimes right? I forgot to ask for my pizza to be thin(skinny) so upon requesting to have it adjusted prior to my pizza being anywhere near complete and apologizing for my mistake in ordering; an employee on the pizza line gets angry and violently slammed his hand on the dough station and yells. I overlooked this as well. Then the "manager" (Laura Lye) the biggest joke of the experience proceeded to play in her hair with both hands as if she was putting a ponytail in then walks over and digs her bare hands into the cheese and dumps it on my pizza. I stop her and explain how unsanitary that is and her reply is "oh its fine, I wash my hands more than anyone in here" I go on to explain that I myself am servsafe certified and I must have missed that portion on the test that stated washing your hands wasn't required PRIOR to preparing food. Especially after you've touched your face, hair, and or cell phone. Laura Lye threatened to kick me out and call her boss on me if I didn't stop talking to her and expressing my dissatisfaction in her food handling practices for this establishment. I then ask for a refund for the $40+ dollars I paid for my 2 orders and went to another pizza joint that has a better understanding of safe food handling and customer service. By far the WORST experience I've ever had at this pizza joint. If negative stars was a thing -5 stars would be my rating for today's experience. Laura Lye needs to be retrained in food safety compliance, customer service and management or removed for her position as manager of this establishment and only allowed to CLEAN UP!!.

Me and my boyfriend come to this HotBox pizza all the time NEVER had a problem. But these two employees was extremely RUDE. We ask if we can get our pizza a skinny, the employee with the Hat on Loudly Slam his hand on the counter. Me and my boyfriend just look like really? Then as we are watching them make our pizzas the employee with the blue jacket on and blonde hair has NO GLOVES on NO HAIR NET, she rub her hands through her hair and dug in the cheese to put it on our pizza. ? Ask the cashier for a manager on duty RIGHT AWAY .. And it’s her! So disgusting. She replied that she wash her hands more than any employees there?. Which is saying your team members are all dirty. As me and my boyfriend are managers we had to educate this so called “manager” on food sanitation. Which teaches you that when getting your food handlers certification. WE WILL NEVER COME TO THIS ONE AGAIN! YUCK ? We ask for a refund and she continues to get even more rude.

Happy with my service here! Walked in with no order ahead, only waited 15 minutes- probably less- for my pizza. Tasted great and was cheap. Nice little store if you choose to eat in but seems like more of a carry out place. Staff was friendly enough and seemed to be taking things seriously behind the counter. Good stop for pizza!

I'm a fairly critical reviewer because I expect quality and I expect to get what is advertised and what I ordered (I also work hard for my money!). Seems a bit too much these days. But, I'm a fair reviewer as well. We've been ordering at this Hotbox for the last three months and it has been amazing!!! The skinny crust is incredible. We do like it crunchy and have to put that in the special instructions. But wow, they nail it and they do not shirk on the toppings, and the ingredients are really fresh. The pizza is always hot and fresh when delivered. I have to say, it's one of the few places that gets our order right and doesn't "forget" anything, i.e. cheese sauce, etc. They also certainly have the best breadsticks and cheese sauce. I never thought that HotBox would become my go to here in Carmel for pizza as there is a lot of great competition. Keep it up and we'll keep ordering! Thank you!

I recently ordered a pizza forThis establishment and had it delivered. Everything came in a timely manner my complaint comes with how horrible the pizza was. I’d have to say it’s one of the worst pizzas I’ve tasted. I’m very familiar with this place as I’ve dined there at least 6 years ago. I ordered in hopes things have changed nope worst pizza ever and the delivery driver who arrived with head phones in decided to take out his own tip before giving me back my change when handed a $20 he gave me back $5 dollars for a 10.28 order in which I didn’t notice until he has already left.

Burnt my pizza. I'll call corporate tomorrow because this wasn't even edible. Got the weekly special but next time I'll just take $13 and flush it down the toilet. Come on guys you can't server burnt over cooked food

We stopped in for a light and easy lunch. The cups, plates and napkins made us chuckle. We ordered a small aloha pizza and drinks, and it was the perfect amount of food for a light bite. There's a parking lot (off of north S Ridgeline) right beside the restaurant with access to a front and back entrance to Hot Box. There's a nice patio area, but we opted to enjoy the AC.Kid-friendliness: Our 6-year-old enjoyed her meal. She loved reading the cups, plates and napkins and had fun adding parmesean sprinkles to her pizza. There are options for single pizza slices and basic pizzas and breadsticks, if needed.Parking: There's a shared parking lot (off of north S Ridgeline) right beside the restaurant with access to a front and back entrance to Hot Box.Wheelchair accessibility: Single level restaurant has wide aisles and spacious seating areas and bathrooms.

Absolute garbage! This is the worst pizza I have ever had! ? The delivery guy was super nice, but the $45 dollars that I spent was NOT worth it. Guess Indy should stick to cars because they don't know pizza!

Driver showed up well before the expected delivery time, which was great since it was originally quoted close to an hour. Driver ensured that our stix were made perfect even with special requests. Shortly after we sat down noticed that our sauces were missing. Not a huge deal. Moments later the driver showed back up, sauces in hand. Said he got back to the store and realized they were still in his car. Wish I had gotten his name but he definitely turned any potential negative experience around, without having to make any calls or anything. Will definitely continue ordering from this location in the future.

We came to Indianapolis for a little weekend fun with the kids. We arrived late to the hotel so we decided to just order pizza. Hotbox had decent reviews and was open late so we decided to give it a try. We ordered and the guy was easy and pleasant on the phone. He said about 50 minutes but it got to us in like 35 minutes. The food was wonderful the whole family ate and really liked it different from the normal domino's or pizza hut. Much better flavor.

I totally understand the lack of help these days in the service industry. Not sure what all these non working people are doing, but anyways, we put in an order for breadsticks and cheese sticks the other night. Once an hour rolled around, I mentioned the fact that our order had yet to be delivered. When we called, the woman who answered the phone had informed us that they were short staffed with one delivery driver. The driver was out delivering orders, our order was at HotBox and once the driver returned, they would get our order to us. We waited. Then it became 45 minutes since the last call, so now an hour and forty five minutes. This was when I said, "well our order has been sitting at the place for about an hour and a half, so I guarantee it will arrive like it's been sitting for that time". Once the two hour mark rolled around, which was 10:00pm by now, our order arrived. It was exactly how i thought it would be, breadsticks cold, cheese sticks cold and dried out. Needless to say, I was not happy at all! Like I said, I totally understand the shortage of help, but this was unacceptable!! At some point, maybe instead of expecting the one driver to kill themselves trying to deliver each and every order around town, someone from the shop could jump in and at least help get some out in a timely manner. Another real bother to me, is there was no "we are so sorry your order arrived 2 hours late" or "let me take some off your order, etc" by the woman on the phone or the delivery driver. Again I understand the shortage, but that can not be used 24/7, as an excuse for shotty service!!!
