The cutest restaurant on Main! The day I visited the staff was behind and they were up front about being behind. They asked if we could wait 15 mins. so that the staff could catch up. I did not mind and they also were very thankful in return. The menu presented refreshing options for this Carmel resident. It’s one of a kind and the food was delicious. I tried the blackened tilapia sandwich and my husband had the short rib and pimento grilled cheese. We both found our choices satisfactory. I also had the side of coconut rice and black beans which was slightly sweet as expected and still great. As for our appetizer the crab and artichoke dip was delightful. This is a must try for everyone!

Great “Southern Coastal” restaurant on Main in Carmel. Menu and plating are excellent. Charleston style shrimp and grits didn’t disappoint, nor did the buffalo mac and cheese. Interior of the place is quaint and simple. Has a nice exterior seating area as well. Worth the trip - you’ll spend about $20-$35 pp.

We came for a visit to Indiana from Michigan and we saw Juniper on Google. It sounded awesome, so we had to stop to try it. We were not disappointed. The food is amazing. We struggled to decide what to get. It all sounds fantastic. Be sure to try the crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, sweet potato fries, and Mac and cheese! The drinks are so delicious too. The Spodee-odee (I’m sure I spelled that wrong lol) is so good! Our waiter, Alix, was awesome! He’s so kind and friendly. The service is so fast too. We had reservations and we were a bit early. They sat us right away and the food was out quickly. The atmosphere is wonderful. So beautifully decorated and cozy. I would definitely make reservations just to be safe. They are a very popular place.Parking: We parked right next to the restaurant in a lot. Plenty of space during a busy Saturday.

They said that they had a lot of reservations so they couldn’t seat us outside. But the outside was heated. We had zero heat and was a miserable experience. If there aren’t enough heaters, then don’t seat a table and your front staffers aren’t that friendly. Spent $100 for 2 people and hated every second of it.

The food at this place seems to be intended as what I would call southern gourmet with a touch of Louisiana. With dishes sporting fried okra and green beans as sides and main dishes named as meatloaf, buttermilk fried chicken, chicken beurre blanc and chimichurri salmon, I wouldn’t know how else to describe it. I had “Mae Mae’s Meatloaf” with mashed red potatoes and fried okra and green beans. A good portion was served and completely filled me up but not to excess. The meatloaf was excellent and others in my party also expressed a high degree of satisfaction with their meals. The atmosphere is busy with a constant din of conversation filled with middle class folks who appeared to have an average age of around 40. The surroundings remind me of someone’s dining room and the building looks like it could have been a house at one time. The price tag for the four of us with a nice tip approached $190. Overall, we all decided we would be returning for more.
