I’ve been going to lone pine since it opened and it has become one of my favorite restaurants.
It’s definitely a steak house vibe but they are well differentiated.
As far as the steaks - The cuts, the origin of the meat, the quality is all interesting and compelling.
The sides are well prepared. The entrees are thoughtful and Delicious. And the appetizers deliver.
The wine list is of course impeccable with a Range for all budgets. The cocktails are clever.
I do love the bar - it’s beautiful and lends itself to hanging out.
Josh mazonowski has earned a James beard nomination very quickly and he’s always around -
Charming funny and warm.
I can’t recommend this place enough

We dined at Lone Pine for Valentine's Day. They had a set menu for the special occasion. I had the whipped Brie, roasted carrots, salmon and blood orange panna cotta. My partner had the shrimp cocktail , chopped ceasar, ribeye and chocolate ganache. All of the courses were well done. The stars of the meal were the carrots and panna cotta. Our server was excellent with recommendations—I can also solidly recommend their French martini. Overall the experience was on par with other upper tier steak houses in the Indy Metro
We went for Valentine's Day dinner. Fixed menu which we frequently enjoy. It was very busy and service was keeping up for the most part. My wife's salmon was cooked perfectly, my filet ordered medium rare came out medium well but was still very flavorful. Spinach was a bit overcooked. Considering the volume of food that they have to put out on one of their busiest days, I was a little disappointed but would definitely go back for a "regular" night out to see what their normal dining experience provides. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We went for the Valentine's Day tasting menu, 2026. Overall, the restaurant was nice and clean. The staff were helpful and polite. They were willing to answer any questions about the tasting menu. The tasting menu food was delicious, but a tad overpriced for what it was. Two of us, with tip, was $360ish. That included on alcoholic beverage only for $16. For the quality and quantity of the food it was a little high priced. The food was delicious, but I wouldn't say I was absolutely wowed by it. Overall, the noise level in the restaurant allowed for good conversation at our table with out having to be too loud or struggle to hear. The wait staff was attentive with out being over bearing. I'd return to the restaurant, but probably not for a tasting menu. I don't regret it at all, just didn't see the value for the money.
Fantastic food and service on Valentine's Day. Loved it from start to finish. Our server Megan was very knowledgeable and very efficient. The dessert was one of the best I've ever had.
We had dinner here last night, and while the service was excellent, the overall experience fell short, especially given the price point. Our waitress was great, but the food and atmosphere did not meet expectations.
I ordered the $68 ribeye medium, and it was closer to rare. The center was nearly raw, leaving me to eat only the outer edges. My wife was equally disappointed and did not enjoy any of her meal.
The drinks were acceptable but unremarkable, though my wife did enjoy her martini. Unfortunately, the second-floor seating and overall environment felt dated and uninspired, which was surprising for a restaurant where our total bill approached $300. We felt like we were sitting in MCL.
For that price, we expected a far more refined dining experience. We left wishing we had gone to our usual steakhouse on 82nd Street instead.

Gator Boots cocktail (spicy marg vibes) was amazing. Had to have 2. Really nice wine and cocktail menus. They were out of the focaccia when we went, but they offered a sourdough instead which was also delish with their sun-dried tomato basil butter. Shrimp cocktail was great. Got the 16oz ribeye with mashed potatoes, and will dream of both for years to come. So flavorful and prepared perfectly. My husband had the swordfish and said it was really good. 20/10 recommend! We will come back again!
I took my girlfriend for Valentine's Day and we couldn't have been more pleased. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic and exactly as I hoped it would be. The swordfish and filet were top notch and were paired perfectly with the oysters rockefeller and brussel sprouts. This was our first time dining here but it will not be our last.
Shrimp cocktail, brussel sprouts, filet and salmon were delicious and perfectly executed. Cocktails were awesome too. Highly recommend! Will be back.

Me and my husband went to this restaurant last night, and ordered off the devour menu. The food was outstanding. But I was extremely disappointed with where we were sat. There were plenty of other tables open, but we were sat at a table that only fits two (which makes sense) but the booth seats were so far from the table that it was not comfortable. Additionally it was freezing outside, and we were by some kind of vent that poured out freezing air. I was so cold my legs were wrapped in my winter coat and I tried to get over it, but for how much we paid it should have been a better experience. I figured they were too busy to seat us anywhere else so I did not ask to move, but there were plenty of tables open. we took the dessert to go because I could no longer feel my toes. I wanted to enjoy this place but i'm disappointed with the odd corner we were shoved in. It was an awkward stretch across the table and freezing. The seating was off to the side across from the opening to the bar. I hope they don't seat anyone here in the future, at least during the winter. Pictured is the vent under the table that poured out freezing cold air.

We came here for our anniversary ever between the food and the service and cocktails. It was probably the best dining experience we’ve had in years! Meagan was very knowledgeable and detailed in her descriptions and pointed out some of her favorites which we tried and absolutely loved. She was very personable without being overbearing.
Both steaks that my wife and I received were phenomenal along with the brussels sprouts, which had some sort of sauce on them that was great and cooked to perfection.
I can’t believe we haven’t been here before, but I think we found a new spot to add to our date night rotation.

Great experience! Food was fantastic (black and blue burger and salmon) but the pierogi special was the standout. Service couldn't have been better and the atmosphere is great. We'll be going back soon for sure!

This is a great place in Carmel. Meagan was fantastic and made our meal so enjoyable. Get a side table for 2 and order the Shrimp Risotto. The dry rub 14-oz “striploin” was awesome too. It was a special birthday and we’ll be back to try more items! Steaks and seafood done right!

We are regulars at Lone Pine and love it. They do a great steak, as you would expect, yet their menu is more diverse than typical steakhouses. We love their Caesar salad, love their fries, and we’ve enjoyed many of their appetizers and mains including fish. Next, the cocktails are top-tier - balanced but flavorful. “Gator boots” is my go-to. The staff are friendly and the best thing is they can always seat us without a reservation. I don’t understand why this place isn’t busier.
