I got the garlic burger and it's soooooo good, the service and ambiance is really nice and the area we were seated was beautiful. For a drink I recommend the blueberry basil cocktail, it's so good!

The pretzel bites are the best thing here. The food is okay. Great atmosphere though!

The food is great and the atmosphere is cool and inviting! I've ordered takeout and only been in the restaurant once or so but I look forward to my trips to the Carmel area so I can order from there.

Mia took care of us at this visit. I am not a bun girl, but wanted the burger. I explained this to her and she communicated to the kitchen. Below is the beautiful result. Matt the Millers delivers! By the way, we were seated in a small booth in the bar. I totally recommend! Pub/restaurant atmosphere.

Well, for transparency, my son and I tried to go to Divvy today...I didn't realize there was an age requirement So we went next door to Matt the Miller which had limited options for vegans, but our waitress (she had long black braids, I forgot her name) was very helpful and suggested options to me. I ended up going with the House Salad minus cheese, plus grape tomatoes and red onion. I must add the chef was kind enough to recreate a more kid friendly, traditional honey mustard sauce for my son

Comfortable, busy place with pretty good food. I just had a cocktail and appetizers and a few of them were very interesting like the pretzel bites. The service could have been better but like I said it was busy. We were put-off by the host when we arrived. We did not have a reservation for our party of 7 and were told the wait would be 2-3 hours. There was an empty 8 top in the bar and when I asked could we sit there she said, "yes it's first come." I then asked her why she did not offer to sit us there, and with a vacant stare, she popper her bubble gum. All in all I would go back if I'm up that way--for the food.

Greatest selection of drinks and tap beers. Lots of healthy choices for appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Large patio for outdoor seating but street noise is a distraction at times.

It has been a while since I have been here, but it was like I remember. Food and drinks are always good. Presentation solid. Staff attentive. Food arriving quickly even if they are busy.

Was greeted by the manager when I arrived, he sat me immediately. The staff was welcoming and got me a wonderful drink. The steak salad was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Highly recommend.

I'm giving this a four, although my most recent visit was pretty rough. To start with the good: this is a great place to go for appetizers and drinks (just not on a night someone good is playing at the Palladium because, good luck.) Drinks are pretty solid. For the area, it's pretty affordable, too. We stopped in for brunch a few months ago and it was surprisingly delicious. Overall, we live close and this is in the rotation of places we'll go on a whim, especially on a nice day when the patio is open. That being said, something changed recently and the food is saturated in sauce. Sugary sauce, at that. We got the ahi tuna appetizer - it came drowning in sweet sauce. The same went for the flatbread. We couldn't finish our food, paid our bill, and grabbed to go somewhere else on the way home. This could have easily been just a bad day in the kitchen, so I wouldn't rule this place out entirely. Overall, a decent neighborhood place to pop into!

This is our third visit and as in previous times the food was excellent. We started with the Tavern Chips appetizer then my Wife had the Fish n Chips and I had the Slider appetizer along with the Thai Calimari. All was tasty. The atmosphere is quiet and personal with the wait staff being perfectly vacant yet attentive. This time we took my parents and they fully enjoyed the experience. And when the Indiana weather cooperates, Matt the Miller also has outside dining. Enjoy.

Waited an hour for food and it was just ok, nothing spectacular for the wait. Our waitress was nice.

We enjoyed our dinner here and the drink selection was great too. Food was cooked well and dishes were very filling. Pretty strong value for the quality of food we got. Service was good and food came out quick. Please plate the side salads on a bigger plate. It’s impossible to mix the dressing with a tiny side plate! Also, pretzel bites are really just buns…I would rename them as this is definitely not like any pretzel ice ever seen.

Three families met in Carmel (approximately 75 miles) to enjoy weather, ice skate, and share a meal. We all walked from skating rink to Matt Tavern at 2:30 pm. Told the hostess that there were 10 of us. (six professionals along with our children) After being gone a few minutes she returned and said, “Our manager said we can’t take you. We have parties coming later.” There was one couple in the bar area, waitresses sitting/visiting, and a host with hostess enjoying their time together. The restaurant was pretty much EMPTY! No sorry, no suggestion to split up. VERY disappointing!
