Had lunch at Mellow Mushroom today in Chesterfield, Mo. What a mess. The 2 slice lunch pizza was way undercooked making the slices soggy and chewy. Our waitress said the pies used for the lunch specials are “half baked” to allow for customization. And that I should have asked for it to be well done which is asinine. I’m not ordering a steak! The Chesterfield, Mo. location needs to be managed.

We visited the Mellow Mushroom in Carmel and had an uncomfortable experience related to a medical food accommodation for our child.
When a staff member noticed our 12-year-old had a small packed lunch, we were told no outside food or drink was permitted. I explained that my child has a medically recognized feeding disorder (ARFID) and requires a very limited diet, and that the rest of our table would be ordering from the menu.
Despite this explanation, the staff member repeatedly stated that it “didn’t matter,” that they could “get in trouble,” and that they would “let it slide this one time.” This conversation happened audibly in the dining area, which was embarrassing for our CHILD and our family, especially with nearby tables able to hear it. My son already has insecurities about this matter and he made it worse making him feel like he couldn’t eat with his family. While the food itself was fine and we were ultimately allowed to stay, the situation was handled poorly and without sensitivity. Medical accommodations—especially involving children—should be handled discreetly and respectfully.
I hope this location provides additional staff training so similar situations are handled more appropriately in the future.

We went out tonight to celebrate my daughter's birthday. It was not very busy and we were able to get seated right away. Food came out and was very delicious and hot. Our server was nice and came to check on us often. We had a very nice time.

I hadn't been to this place in 15 years and it wasn't as good as I remembered. The crust was kind of chewy and the Italian sausage was crumbles instead of chunks, with not enough to count as a topping. Probably wont go back anytime soon.

Came in party of 5 they said it was 30 minute wait has us seated in maybe 5. Ordered the Greek salad with balsamic vinegarette extremely fresh. We then received our pepperoni pizza size large fed 6 of us. The sauce, cheese, pepperoni ratio was perfect. Pizza was served hot and delicious. Football was playing and it was a great experience. We are from out of town and the pizza was to write home about.

If you have young children, I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant. We’ve eaten here regularly without major issues in the past, but our recent visit with our toddler and infant was disappointing. The manager informed us that most of the restaurant was reserved for a private party (which never appeared during our meal), and as a result, children were effectively not accommodated.
We were denied a high chair for our toddler and instead seated in a raised booth that we had specifically said we didn’t want. We were also not permitted to place our infant’s car seat carrier on the floor, citing a fire code violation. The food itself was acceptable, but the service fell short: napkins were only provided after we asked, and pitchers of beer, listed on the menu, were unavailable.
Overall, the experience made it clear that families with young children are not a priority here. We won’t be returning.

LOVE this place, the pizza, and the staff! Carissa is always taking the best care of us which is an added perk to how delicious the pizza is. I have never had a negative experience at Mellow Mushroom, and I'm a frequent visitor with my husband! Also, the music is always on point.
The food we got was delicious as always! The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they got rid of the mushroom soup. I didn't get any pictures of the food but I did get the updated menu.

Very accommodating to our group of 11 who arrived at various times to the restaurant. I have had many styles of pizza but I have to say I think the crust of the Mellow Mushroom pizza is the Best! Light a fluffy and delicious! We had multiple different kinds of topping on our pizzas but I think my favorite was the simple mushroom pizza. Hit the spot!
