One of my favorite places to eat in Carmel. The Irish pizza, is great, so is the tenderloin and their salads. Great place for almost any occasion in St. Patrick's Day is always a ton of fun

Starting with the young woman who seated us - this was an unfriendly experience. She was taken aback that I asked her not to put my wife and I at the bar. Her attitude was one that made me think the rumor that Carmel locations are a bit uppity in how they think about themselves. None the less the experience continued. The young lady who waited on us was really nice and took our orders and delivered. One thing that could have improved was the temperature. I am not sure if it was the door to the outside dining area being close to the back of the restaurant - but it was hot outside and it was unreasonably warm in the back of the restaurant. I was in a good sweat by the end of the meal...and though my wife would never say anything I could see her obvious discomfort. The food quality was one of the areas I thought was poor. I ordered the chicken which came with a baked potato. The chicked was dry as if it had been reheated or recooked. It was well received by my great dane Angus but for me, I was disspointed. My wife ordered the Montechristo sandwich. I was grilled on both sides but the sandwich was not like you would have expected - cooked like french toast , dipped in an egg and cream mix and fried.
Overall the meal was subpar and I caution older patrons to be very careful if they seat you in the back. The location has a hidden step that almost caused me to fall, which was painful and embarrassing.

Sunday breakfast/brunch is a good option if you want something besides their traditional menu.
Parking: Free parking garage under Sophia Square across the street.
I got the nine layer bean dip which is usually good but this time it was mostly cheese and not enough bean and the chips were stale probably won't get it again

I went at lunch time with two friends and we didn't have to wait to be seated, off to a great start! Our waitress was unfriendly and rude. However, the home-made Loaded Potato Soup was highly recommended, so we decided to stay. Two of the three of us, myself included, ordered the soup ?. It tasted wonderful. For my entree I ordered a Paddy Melt. It was cold when it came out, the toast was burnt and the onions were minced and not sauteed. Overall, I give Muldoon's on Main 2 ???? thumbs up.
Parking: Street parking if you can find it.
Kid-friendliness: We had a 13 year old with us. It is a family friendly restaurant
