Siam Star Asian Express - Thai Authentic

Ever since our trip to Thailand and having some amazing Thai Tea in Bangkok (and lychee slushie for me), my husband seeks it out from good shops so we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for some drinks. They tasted exactly how we wanted them to and I picked up some housemade lychee mochi as well; very tasty. Unfortunately didn't get to try the food because we left town before we had the chance but will definitely be returning next time we're in the area! Owner is very nice

James really cares about his quality and his customer service. It was an absolute pleasure ordering from James and the food is fantastic. This is definitely my new Thai spot.

This is a hidden gem. One of a kind fine dining Thai restaurant. A true diamond in the Midwest. The papaya salad, the chive appetizer the curries ... Everything was spot on. Just fantastic. Just fabulous. 10/10

The owner took his time to explain everything very well since it was my first time there. He explained that he takes the orders and serves and his wife cooks. Everything was amazing. Very authentic thai food. They have a great selection and prices were very reasonable! The wife also makes a great selection of deserts from scratch daily! The service was great. The owner was very personable and super nice. I will definitely be back!

Tasty Thai Basil Dish. Just be careful on the spice leval you request. I requested medium and it was the hottest dish I ever ate. Next time I will make sure the know that I do not like hot spicy food

Absolutely incredible. I have never had this kind of experience. Anywhere. James talked us through every dish. We sat in the back and it was like a Chef's Table! Too much to describe but everything was over the top good. The sausage was so very nuanced. Best papaya salad ever. He even explains the spice level to take sure it's exactly what you want. I had a basic Thai basil stir fry and loved. Duck curry was phenomenal if a little sweet. The boat noodle soup was so
Complex and we loved the texture of the noodles. We ended with the mango sticky rice. The rice was warm and it had a very light coconut sauce which was slightly sour combined with the sweet, cool and tender mango. Get out! I'm almost scared to post this for fear I won't be able to get a table, cause there is only about 12! Amazing

Friendly service, answered all questions patiently and with enthusiasm, food was good loved the Mochi, sister loved her boba tea

James's service and attention to detail were top notch! The food was scrumptious. However, The Pad Thai needs some fine tuning - too eggy and mushy for my taste. All the other dishes and desserts were yummy. We had a wonderful time and will be back again!
