In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance. Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right-mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.

Stopped by the Starbucks on W Main St in Carmel, and it turned out to be a solid location overall. The store itself is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room to sit and a nice, open layout. Restrooms were clean, which I always appreciate, especially at a busier spot like this. For how busy it was, the place was packed, but the staff clearly had a system that kept everything moving. I did have to wait a bit longer than usual for my order, but given the volume of customers,...

Monday morning is super busy. Kind staff, relatively clean Starbucks, I wish the restrooms would have an indicator they are occupied. Allow yourself a little extra time between ordering and getting your order.
