They went out of business some time ago.
The restaurant closed permanently 3 weeks ago. Took an Uber there & restaurant dark and locked. Uber had left, we had no reservation anywhere else. Tried to call another restaurant that doesn't use Open Table, but at 7:30 on Friday night they were too busy to answer the phone. Open Table caused a BIG disappointment and an inconvenience. Went home and had leftovers. Not a fun date night.
We went for Mother's Day. Thought we would be able to order off the menu. Did not know it was buffet only. Food was ok, but not to warm. Would've rather ordered off the menu. Service was pretty good. Ambiance was great, and it was quiet. Will be back, but not if the buffet is all that's available.
With Fabio's name and reputation, we expected an upscale experience. Instead we were presented with a brunch buffet with a very limited selection of picked over, tepid dishes. Very disappointing!
Really great dining experience! Absolutely the best service you could imagine! Kash is possibly the best server ever, she is attentive but never intrudes, she remembers everything about you, anticipates your needs, she's cheerful and friendly and just generally makes you feel so welcome!
Pizza was great! We had the veggie pizza, the pepperoni pizza and the mushroom pizza. However we also had salads and the blue cheese dressing was watered down to the point of no flavor and the lettuce was wilted.. Also, the wait staff was friendly but overworked. I would try it again but hope they step it up a bit.
Another fabulous meal! Short rib was delectable as always. Brussels sprouts were awesome! But the absolute best part of the evening was the amazing service we received from Kash! Attentive, great menu insights, prompt, and she remembers everything! Service like that keeps us coming back!
First of all - yes, this restaurant is inside a Giant Eagle. I swore I was in the wrong place, and my family definitely took every advantage to make fun of me for booking a restaurant inside a grocery store. However, once you're inside you don't feel like you're anywhere NEAR a grocery store. There was excellent live music, the service was very friendly and fast, and the food was great. Portions are large, so I'd encourage you to spilt an entree and a salad or an appetizer or two! Don't let the location dissuade you - Osteria is worth a visit.
The food was outstanding. My husband had the Caesar salad and a Margherita pizza which is he uses as a standard for judging pizzas and Italian places. It was sooo good. I had the pasta with meatballs- AMAZING. The meatballs were tender and perfectly seasoned. We also had the mussels appetizer and it was just great! And the bread with rosemary was served with some beautiful olive oil and obviously house made ricotta. YUM!! We had leftover pizza reheated in the oven and the crust was perfection. I wish we had more. I am going to order their pizzas to go and will happily drive the 15-20 minutes to get them. The place was clean and pretty, and the service was delightful.
We love local Italian food, but the unfortunately the taste of this food wasn't very good. The sauce was under cooked and raw tasting. They do have good pizza in though! Local beers were good too!

Major disappointment; I feel like talking to Fabio personally. Easter brunch— pancakes as hard as rocks, lukewarm frittatas, tough roast beef. Desserts were lackluster. Mediocre table service. We won't be back
Very poor experience for Easter Brunch. Food was cold, the pancakes were like bricks and the eggs were stiff. Unfortunately the restaurant was not following ordinary food safety standards which included having sneeze guards over buffets. It was a very sad sight. I'm surprised since I heard it was good. We won't be going back. I'm worried about the cleanliness.
My pasta was hard and in a clump like it had been under a heat lamp. I was super disappointed. We were the only people in the restaurant when we ordered and looking forward to a nice dinner out. Pasta should be easy to serve fresh. My server was really great and brought me a different dish... The salmon was very good. But I would not come back.
Most of the food was very good. The wedge salad came with the lettuce frozen. The Margarita pizza was a cheese pizza with a few chopped tomatoes and even less basil. It tasted fine, but was far from a Margarita pizza. The service was not good. We had to ask several times for things, such as silver ware.
This would have been a much more pleasant experience if the ambience was nicer! It used to be very nice but now it is more like a cafeteria setting. YUCK! Make it more cozy and intimate again.
