We were in Carmel and decided to try The Monk’s Fusion Cuisine. I’m a big foodie and travel to different cities (and countries) trying new dishes, so my taste buds might be a little more refined than average.

We ordered the Maggi Frankie Rolls — 10/10, absolutely delicious! Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and a must-try. The garlic naan was crispy, well-cooked in the tandoor
and tasted authentic. The butter chicken, however, was a bit underwhelming — I’d rate it around 4.5/10. It definitely needs some improvement, especially given the restaurant’s high ratings.

Overall, it’s a nice restaurant with good vibes, great interiors, and pleasant music. If you’re new to Indian food, you’ll really enjoy it. Worth a visit for sure!

I moved to Indiana a few years back and have been to several Indian and Thai restaurants and Monk’s takes the cake each time! The quality is always consistent, I can’t name a place with fluffier rice.

-Great portions for an affordable price
-Flavorful savory and sweet dishes
-Accurate spice rating, mild to medium to spicy is what you expect
-Take out portions are the same and are done before their estimated time; each time!
-One of the few places open until 10 on weekdays
-Atmosphere is perfect for hangouts or dates, the interior is comparable to a better p.f. chang’s

Food was delicious. Our server was so nice and helpful. He even brought us a complimentary cake for our friend who's birthday it was.

I have been excited to try Monk’s for some time. Due to a recent surgery I am unable to drive so I took the opportunity to order through Grub Hub for delivery. I ordered the chicken butter masala and garlic naan. The garlic naan was quite good. I don’t think the butter masala was necessarily bad, but it was mostly just liquid with a small amount of chicken (pictured). Now, I know butter chicken can be made in a variety of ways, but my wife is Indian so I have had the pleasure of her family making butter chicken quite a bit over the years. Overall, paying $30 before delivery charges and tip for this made me a bit sad. All that being said, one thing I have appreciated seeing is the professionalism from the owner with the responses to reviews and using them as a way to improve which is why I gave service 4 stars. I want to reiterate it was only the butter masala entree, the garlic naan was great and I bet this was likely only a fluke due to ordering during peak hours.

The flavors were great! We had a large group and tried all the masala’s and really enjoyed the flavors of each one! Our naan and rice was perfect too! The service could have been more attentive, but we understood that it was a big group. Overall our experience was great and we expect to return soon!!

Easily accommodated a party of 14 with timely food and service. Super friendly staff and flavors that really packs a punch. Definitely worth coming for good food, great atmosphere, and quality time with friends.

This is some of the best Indian food in Indy 😍😍

We all loved the food!! So good and super fast service. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant if you haven’t been. Don’t miss the Monk’s Special Fries tossed in a sauce with green onions and spices. So good and a very unique flavor unlike anything we had tasted before: still crispy French fries tossed with lots of exotic, slightly spicy sauce.

I came in here for the buffet and it was much better than I expected. The range of selection was impressive. It was mostly Indian dishes but the menu says they have lots of other types of Asian food too. The food was really excellent, even in the buffet, and I imagine would be even better for a traditional meal.

We went there for a buffet but there was no food
All the starters were finished . It took them forever to bring the bread and re -fill the curries. It seemed that they were not prepared to handle the demand during peak hours
Earlier this place was good but now their standard has deteriorated
The staff is very rude .
For food and service they deserve negative marking

This is our 3rd visit to The Monks, and it was just as DELICIOUS. We ordered goat Chettinad ( goat braised in flavorful curry and exotic spices), and the stew was so deliciously rich and spicy. We also had the tandoori chicken momos- yum! High praises and compliments to the chef(s)! Chettinad is not a dish I often see on an Indian menu. I'm so happy and excited we tried it.

We just had a delicious experience in this restaurant. We ordered: veggie Samosa, Chicken Tikka masala, Lamb Tikka masala, Masala tea- and it was amazing ???not too much flavors, just enough to feel great taste of food.
But what was more amazing, it's my daughter's dessert. She got " Magic chocolate ball on fire"... Ohhh... impressive service and delicious ????????? Highly recommend this place to visit.
