I just stopped to place a carry out order and was warmly greeted by 3 nice ladies and a duder. I ordered a cheeseburger and hash browns (they don’t have fries). Food was out in 5 minutes and one of the nice ladies touched my shoulder and told me to have a nice rest of my day, sweetheart. The burger was flipping excellent. Not the best bun but it held up and that juicy cheesy burger hit the spot. Never ordered hash browns with a burger before but their hash browns were fantastic....
I will admit, I have never found any place that serves breakfast without serving French toast to be remotely exciting. The silver dollar pancakes weren't bad. Despite requesting flimsy bacon, it still came out crispy. I have no use for bacon that cracks to bits when any pressure is applied. That's like requesting well-done steak. It murders the flavor and texture of the bacon. The hot chocolate tastes like Swiss Miss and is overpriced and not bottomless.
Gr8 experience, service and food... First time visitor @ the Uptown Cafe. Will return with others... Gr8 Location service and food.
