We went to Woody's today for lunch. It was our first visit but won't be our last. The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect! I highly recommend Woody's!
Arrived here at 1pm on a sunday. Not particularly busy and plenty of staff. But staff did not greet us or recognize our presence. People behind left after a few minutes, and we followed suit after waiting a bit more. Just weird.
Best tuna ever.

One of the few originals left in Carmel. Food is good; staff is friendly; service is generally okay unless you get someone who gets in the weeds easily. They could make a fortune off of the jukebox in the downstairs bar if they'd turn it up so you can hear.. the crowd is louder than the music. The patio is nice, check it out.

We ate on the patio. Gorgeous day! The Asian tator tots are ??. Our waitress was super nice and came at very convenient times. The food was great quality and inclusive.
Dietary restrictions: I couldn't have gluten or dairy and they made wonderful accommodations and even had gluten free buns! Their menu was easy to read and had lots of options!

So.. This place is a restaurant, is advertised as a restaurant.. myself and 2 18 year Olds show up.. a server points us into the building.. we get in.. a lady says "sit wherever you want".. after 5 minutes or so she comes over and asks for ID... and says we will have to go sit outside of everyone isn't 21. Keep in mind, no posted sign that you must be 21 to be in here from the side door she sent us through..nor when you enter inside. We get outside and the rude server that sent us in says " well, we are basically closed".. sign say.s open till 1am.. and it's 8:11 pm.. to which I reply.. "huh? I don't get it.. open till 1..it's just after 8.." .."ya..the kitchen closes around 8"... Sounds like this place is more of a Bar that serves food than a restaurant. If I could give 0 stars I would

Pricing is misleading. Kid’s menu says a price, has sides with no price next to them, and then charges for the sides that appear to come with the meal. Root beer for kids $5. Just made me feel ick.
I had the blackened chicken salad. It was amazing. Service was great!!!

The food was fantastic and had a custom feel to it without being too exotic. There were gluten-free options, and they understood the dangers of cross contamination. On top of that, they have craft root beer with a complimentary refill. If you're in the area, give the place a try.

this is a totally subjective review... And it is a popular place so others clearly have better experiences than we did.
everything on the menu looked great... even 'typical" dishes had ingredients to ramp them up... bison meatballs, sloppy Joe sliders with Chipotle BBQ sauce... Caesar salad loaded with bacon and dried cherries. broccoli sautéed with butter sauce.
We were really excited... but it didn't turn out how we hoped... we actually didn't love any of our food.
The Caesar salad dressing was mixed with ranch... which kind of ruined it for us. loved the cherries but the dressing.. just not working.
bison meatballs had great flavor but were so soft they were mushy. do ppl like mushy meatballs?
The sloppy Joe sliders were just meh. the cheese was over cooked and its hard/crusty texture (cheese) was off putting. the Chipotle BBQ was ok but just underwhelming.
i'm not sure why/where it went wrong.
We sat on the patio which was really great... super nice atmosphere. it was full so clearly others enjoy their meals more than we did.
decent prices and service was ok.

Nothing spectacular. Average American pub fair. A bit on the heavy side of things. Decent menu selection. Outdoor, Bar, and Upstairs indoor seating.
Building is an old library, so kind of discombobulated for restaurant staff, going up and down stairs and around weird corners.
Parking: Parking in the area is a bit of a wildcard, unless you are okay with walking a block or two from one of the garages. There is limited street parking and a sparse smattering of lots outside of the garages in all of Carmel. Very walkable though from the garages. So drop off your seniors, disabled, and kids with a caretaker at the door, then go park.
Not very handicap accessible though, so keep that in mind.
