this was seriously the best food ive ever eaten in my life. no joke. i set a picture of the drunken chicken as my lockscreen for the rest of the day and every time i think about it i shed a tear. and i'd never even had cajun or creole food before this. and im like super mega scared-of-spices type of white. You Need To Eat Here. literally $10 for the most delicious meal ive ever tasted.

It's a great option for eating healthier. The food could have been more seasoned less salt. But my biggest issue was no meat. I ordered 2 entrée and the one with corn and chicken was too sweet and no meat. The beans and rice needed more spices and less salt. But I got 1 slice of sausage!

Convenient location and quick turnaround. Awesome place for lunch. Food is great - love that you can sample their wares. Service is always friendly, helpful and expedient. Plenty of room inside to eat in. Handful of tables outside (weather permitting)

Food: I had drunken chicken and spinach with mushroom etouffee. They serve half & half entree with rice and garlic bread. I loved the taste. They have wide variety of hot sauce to keep you charged up from all the organ of your body.
I tried two hot sauce and it was hot!!!!
Service: Gentlemen explained and quick response.
Atmosphere: It is nice & comfortable seating arrangement to be with your loved ones, friends and family. I must say they have variety of antiques/interior. It was great to see those details.
Conclusion: Must go place to eat and enjoy!!This place is worth for the money we spend.

We had ordered pick up and it was my first time trying. Wasn’t sure if i was gonna like it but it was sooo much better than i thought. The bread was THE BEST! Idk what they put on it but i would buy just that alone! I got the drunken chicken and chicken maque choux (first picture) and its was amazingggg? my man got the crawfish etouttee and red beans w/ sausage, wasn’t stuff i normally like but it was pretty good too. And the prices was only like $23 just for food, which is a great nowadays !

Most of my experiences at most Yats locations have been that I get tasty, inexpensive food, served quickly. But the Carmel location has been a repeated source of frustration and we won't be going there again. They run out of the dishes we want. They run out of rice. The food is slow, but we can't walk out because we've already paid.
This last time we sat for over 20 minutes (while the AC was broken) while they made... something. At first it was supposed to be jambalaya, but they didn't quite have enough of that left either. What we left with was one order that was filled correctly, and two orders of jambalaya (?) that were 3/4 full with one piece of meat between them. The bread wasn't even fully buttered.
We're done here.

Fabulous Cajun creole dishes! One of my favorite places to eat in Indianapolis and the surrounding area! The only suggestions for improvement I have is to perhaps add cocktails? Even premixed ones would be a nice option!
