New to the area and had a craving for Chinese... not many options between Lowell and Cedar Lake, so opted for China House. The shrimp egg rolls were good! Also ordered the combination fried rice and Singapore Rice Noodles. Do not recommend. The friend rice is nothing like I have ever had before coming from Chicago. VERY odd and not much flavor. The Singapore rice noodles were gross. The curry flavor they used made the whole dish mushy. I was disappointed. Next time I will make the drive north for better Chinese!

Food was great; service was timely and polite. We have ordered carry out here multiple times, but this was our first time dining in.

Against my better judgment I decided to try this place, honestly I expected worse from everybody’s advice. That being said, I ordered Mongolian beef which was pretty much Mongolian onions because there was barely any beef,The crab rangoon was OK.We had the small combination fried rice, which was OK and the shrimp with lobster sauce had no flavor and the sauce was watery.I won’t be going back.It is worth the drive to go to China King in Crownpoint is a hell of a lot better.

Tasted amazing, though the interior had a strange scent. Service was good, and there were plenty of options and all the staff were polite.

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Looks dirty inside and felt like I was eating slop off the floor.

Ordered takeout several times but this was our first sit down at the restaurant. Upon walking in reminded me of Christmas Story when they have Christmas dinner at a Chinese place. Very clean, dated but you can definitely tell it's a family run place. Huge menu and it's a plus that the first 3 pages are pictures of many dishes. Shocked to see Wonton Egg Drop soup. It was great. We split crab Rangoons and they were very crispy. Not greasy at all. We also shared a curry chicken platter. Seemed fresh and very tasty. Alittle bit too much onions but there were fresh carrots and snow peas in it. Overall, cute setting, good food and great prices. 2 of us eat for $25.00 and very pleased.

The lady who runs this place is extremely rude and pushy when u go to order . We ordered Mongolian beef and got a few pieces of beef and just all onions , we think they did this on purpose bc the first order we put in came to $40 bc everything is separate cost rice noodles anything so we asked her to start over because that was to expensive … for 1 order and a app …Will not return ever also prices are so high everything is extra !!!

Yum yum yum This is favorite chinese restaurant in south county. The food is always great. I think they have the best hot Singapore chow main & the way they cook there chicken it's practically melts as you eat it. Idk how they do it but they get ten stars

Tried this restaurant yesterday for the first trip here I tried Egg Fu Yung, beef with beef fried rice. Both were better here than most places I've been too. I will certainly be back and soon.Kid-friendliness: It's a family restaurant.Parking: Large lot
