We were seated at the worst possible table by the entry door. Of course it was single digits outside and our table would get a blast of cold air every time the door opened which was frequent on a Saturday night. No one should be seated at that location. There were plenty of other open tables and we had a reservation
Interesting brunch options-all very tasty-omelets on the smaller side by today's standards but adequate and very tasty nonetheless. Creamed corn in an omelette was novel and the peach cobbler French toast was rich but fabulous-we chose to share one sweet and one savory and it was great
10 west was always one of our favorites spots when my wife lived in Cicero. Tonight you could tell something has changed. Their menus are falling apart, our server took about 15 minutes to greet us and get a single glass of wine. He seamed very irritated by us and that we had our 2 year old with us. He even once made a comment very rudely saying that is the second time she's touched be and jumped back like she was diseased. It took 30 minutes for our spinached dip to come out. 45 minutes after we were sat server came by to tell us that what I ordered they don't have. Why did it take that long to figure that out? Also why wouldn't a manager deliver that information? After it took 45 minutes for kitchen to discover they didn't have what I order it took another 30 minutes to overcook my medium rare steak I ordered in place of my orginal order. When food final came out after over and hour and 15 minutes my wife's food was cold. By this time we just wanted to leave. Order a Togo burger for my son also took another 30 minutes to come out. Restaurant didn't close till 10pm but at 7:45 our area was empty and food still took forever to come out. Never got drink refill, never had a manager stop by to check on us and only 1 stop by of server on how food was. Very sad to see one of our favorites spots clearly be going down hill. You can tell by being emptied on a Saturday night before 8pm that something is changing.
Our friends ordered salmon with a salad. They said it was 4 oz, but it was so thin and dry. My steak was good and at a good price. Our server was not very welcoming or friendly.
We were seated at 7:45. Service was a bit slow with a long wait for drinks. We then ordered our meals about 8:30. Salads came out but no entrees. Our waitress was slow to come to our table. We voiced our complaints multiple times. Finally a manager came over apologizing and saying 5-7 minutes. We said so you lost out ticket in the kitchen? Tables were seated, ate and left before we ever got answers to the delay. While we considered just getting up and leaving, we waited. We were finally served after 10pm. Orders were mixed, food was cold. The manager comp'd our meal (6 of us), but honestly not going back again. The worst New Year's Eve dinner ever.
We started the evening out poorly, being seated after 7:30 for a 7:00 reservation. Then a few more snafus... served the wrong mocktail, appetizer delivered with panko even after ordering without (do not eat gluten!) and our steaks were mixed up when plated. Overall not a terrible experience but worth the 30 minute drive.
We have dined at 10 West many times including New Year's Eve. This New Year's was good but not as exceptional as in the past. There were no outstanding special menu items. The bread is no longer a unique sourdough. The tomato horseradish soup was chunky without horseradish. We ordered our filet mignons as medium. One was medium rare and the other had rare and medium well sections. The menus are still from the previous owners, they are dingy and no longer accurate. We have noticed for awhile that creamed corn no longer comes with the meal. Our service was good this time but horrible earlier about 6 months ago. The New Year's Eve dessert and drink menu was good. We live close and will probably return but not as often. We will no longer bring others to this restaurant because you cannot depend on a great experience.
We brought some friends here for their first time and they loved it as much as we do! The Hostess even called me ahead of my reservation time to ask if she could upgrade our table to the Cellar! Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for a warm date night or night out with the family. We'll be back many more times to come!
We ate here for Sunday brunch. Had some good brunch options. The monkey bread was delicious.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We decided to take our adult son and a friend with us for a birthday dinner. While overall, everything was Ok, and the people who work there are very nice, the food was not up to par. I am just going to blame it on the fact that it was the day after Christmas, and let it go at that.

The steak was bland and disappointing. The wine was acidic. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she thought that I was saying it was old wine, but it was not. She had just opened the wine. It was obvious she didn't understand what I was saying about the bottle of wine. She offered me something different and it was good.
Service was excellent. 3 of the 4 in our party ordered a chicken dish. The server came back to the table to tell us they were out of chicken. What we ordered was very good but not what we had wanted. The grilled cheese app and desserts were outstanding as always.
The tomato and horseradish soup is different than the last time we dined here. This version has less horseradish (only a slight hint of horseradish flavor) and is more chunky than the creamy former recipe. We loved the old recipe but not so much the new recipe. I ordered pork medallions. The flavor was very good but they were under cooked. My wife had the chicken and noodles. The new recipe was more like a soup. We had to ask for a spoon. The old recipe was much thicker and no spoon was necessary.
Went with a small group (4) of work colleagues after a wedding. Generally a good experience minus a longer than usual wait to be seated despite having a reservation and the restaurant not being very busy. There was also a significant wait (20+ minutes each time) between ordering and receiving drinks
We couldn't be seated at our reservation time bc they were short staffed. We went to downstairs bar to have a drink while waiting for our table and it took several minutes to get a drink order. Our server was really good but so busy he couldn't check in on us very often.
