I have loved gatti since I was a kid and normally i go every sunday or every other sunday. Sometimes thru the week. Here recently tho there seems to be a lack of attention to the quality of the food. The pizzas are being over cooked, the pasta just mush, and the salad bar lettuce has seen better days. Now, this mainly when I go on Sunday. Thru the week when I have lunch with family the food is night and day. I don't know if the people that work sunday just don't care or if it something else altogether but I hope it gets changed soon.

The absolute worst Mr.Ghatti's I've been to. The restaurant is run down, the food is cold and looks as it has been sitting out for awhile, and they can't make certain requests because they are out of the ingredients.

Brought a group of 12 here for dinner before hitting up a local haunted house. As soon as we walked in, it was hot. I asked the guy at the register why it was so hot. He said it was fine in the sitting area. It was not. They even had a box fan in the dining area trying to pump out some of the hot air.
However, the food totally made up for it. We chowed down on a huge variety of pizzas and other comfort foods. We'll definitely be back. If you have a large group, this is a great place to feed them. I'm sure the heat issue was limited to that day or a few days.

There's not enough customers to keep the food available. Everything was old, soggy, stale. The pasta was mush. The s'mores pizza was pretty great, though.
The card reader was broken.
If you risk going, make sure there's a few more cars in the parking lot.

Gatti’s was a favorite of mine growing up but I haven’t been for over 10 years. We stopped in for the buffet today. Overall I would give the food and atmosphere at 3 because it was just average BUT let me tell you about RICHARD. When we first walked in we weren’t really greeted by the guy behind the counter and I thought to myself maybe he’s having a rough morning. After we paid we walked over to the buffet area and grabbed some food. While getting our drinks we were CHEERFULLY greeted by a gentleman with a gigantic smile on his face. After we were seated he came over and introduced himself, let us know his name is Richard, that he will be taking care of our dishes and to let him know if we need anything. Richard was not only very attentive by keeping our table clean but he was very personable. I’ll be honest with you if this rating was on Richard alone it would be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the restaurant itself could honestly use a little sprucing up and the food was just average so that’s why I gave it 4.

RICHARD is the goat, definitely come back for him. On top of getting plates out of the way, and was just very welcoming.

I love Mr gatti's... Typically traditionally historically good. But the franchise owner of this unit in Southern Indiana across from Louisville has totally abandoned cleanliness, building maintenance, food quality, it's a shame because simply put, Mr. Gatti's locations in Lexington Somerset Dixie highway, Elizabethtown Portsmouth and both Knoxville Alcoa locations are always good!

Restaurantji Recommends
I had quit going to this location last year due to the horrible dining experience I had then, but the place has been cleaned up nicely and the atmosphere is much better now. The salad bar is small, but had a great selection to choose from. The pizza I had was good but there just wasn't much to choose from. I owe this due to not many people there when we arrived at 11:20am on a Sunday. They did make a pizza I requested and it was really good. I recommend coming after 12pm when there are more people there so there will be more pizza on the bar.
I'm glad the place has been improved greatly! And Richard, the guy gathering plates and cleaning up things, was super! He deserves a raise just for his great attitude and kindness.

Food and service very good but the remodeling is not good. The nostalgic feel to the restaurant is slowly fading

Came in on 6-15-25 and there was 1 employee everyone else had called in. Jerry breckner is his name he did such a amazing job at handling a full restaurant alone. There is a young guy stocking salads and cleaning tables who also is so nice and doing a amazing job!!! Your company should should be so grateful to have such dedicated employees.

Food taste bland not very fresh . They couldn't even keep anything fresh up and there was myself and wife 2 kids under 7 and looking around the restaurant was almost empty with another 6 people total . The older gentlemen bussing table was actually the kindest nicest worker in the place. The spaghetti sauce was the worst out of all the food I don't know how to describe it the taste , I wasn't eating it but my children love spaghetti and they both spit there first bite out , so I tasted it and it was horrible maybe old or something I couldn't tell.
