love this place! So far I liked the coffee ice cream with some malt made into a shake and Rudy's Rockin Red Punch.

Rude service and long wait times

This is response to the lady, I believe Jackie is the name, that had the horrible experience at the Widow's Walk Ice Creamery. You mentioned the owner is responsible for the, let's be honest...very few one star reviews for the business. Have you noticed the number of 5 star reviews that she is also responsible for? This business has endured several staff shortages over the years because it is just a mom and pop set up. They serve hundreds of people and she is always there to help. That is not just a business, but it is also her home. Nobody is coming to your place to tell you not to feed cats or anything else. What she does on the privacy of her own porch is none of your business. 692 reviews with an average of 4.5 is about as solid as you will find for an ice cream shop. You obviously took a misunderstanding and decided to attack on social media. This was not the best way to handle your poor experience. I truly think you should go back and talk to Jill and see about having a new experience that will mirror what the majority of patrons say about this small business in Indiana. This is a business that is not a chain or large scale business. It is family run and continues to please most people. Give them another shot and think about what you are saying within your posts. I understand focusing on the specific experience, but then you got personal with the cats and appears you exaggerated much of what you observed on that day. Great ice cream shop and super service, even on days when somebody calls in. Give them another try please!

We had an awful experience with the Owner at this ice cream shop, and after reading the reviews, she does seem to be the problem at this establishment Almost EVERY 1 star review is for her ridiculous behavior.

The owner was exasperated because she had to call our number and we did not hear her. She loudly said snarky things about us to the other patrons (a 20-something couple, a middle aged man, and a family of 6) as we walked up to get our dessert. An absolute worst nightmare experience for someone with anxiety.

We had chosen to sit at the only shady table which happened to be by the road because the nice, shaded patio area was off-limits to patrons which may be why my husband (who is HOH dx) could not hear her. I am not HOH, nor was I looking at a phone, but I did only hear her call our number twice; the second time (which was immediately after the first, there was barely a pause between), I alerted my husband because he had not heard her.

There were many stray cats being fed by the staff while patrons were dining which I can't imagine is allowed by the Health Department. Very unsanitary. I absolutely love animals, but you can't run a food shop and feed critters next to it. We won’t be back.

Beautiful spot right on the water! As someone new to the area and lost, the ownership was delightful and helpful! I couldn’t be more grateful and will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

Super cute local business with amazing hard scoop icecream, large menu, and an amazing view of the Louisville skyline with a park right across the street! Still open during construction, this will be my new go-to local icecream place of choice! Found this place via the “In My Halloween Eras Swifties” event on Eventbrite. Jill the owner is such a friendly, kind, genuine, caring soul. She put so much work into the event, everything was decorated impeccably and it was a great environment. We had Taylor music videos on the tv, games to play, pizza and icecream, friendship making station, and then streaming the Eras tour. I would recommend both this type of event and this business in general!

Parking: Parking available right at the shop, drive around the construction signs!

Love this place! Jill and her term do a wonderful job of making sure everyone is happy! Jill offers a wide variety of sweet treats and we've never been disappointed in the variety! Now that it's fall we had to try the pumpkin ice cream and it was amazing! If you haven't already checked out the widows walk ice cream, you need too!!!

Great experience and the ice cream was delicious. If you have kids it is a great area with a park in walking distance.

Widow's Walk is the best place in town for ice cream. You can't beat the view of the Louisville skyline either! Also, they just put in a new playground across the street at the park.

Bad attitudes. Customers are not your enemy; to be mad you got a order wrong is crazy
