My wife and I visited this established this evening. We waited 15-20 minutes to be waited on. It took nearly 20-25 minutes to get our meal which was disappointing and tasteless and very greasy. The waitress we had kept apologizing for the long wait. We did appreciate her kindness and hospitality in spite of the situation. We noticed that several call in orders were going out quickly while my self and my wife and others were made to wait for our meals. Apparently, several employees didn’t show up for work including a second cook but I think those people should have been forced to wait or the supervisor inform callers that no take home meals would be happening due to the lack of help. I received a response from Bob Evans today in response to this review. You can read their comments for yourself. I took their comments as condescending and oh well your opinion means nothing. It was all covered up. Let me just say, my wife and I were not the only customers who were forced to wait for their meals. What I wanted to hear from this company was that in-house customers should have had first priority for service over takeouts but that apparently isn’t the policy of this company. I will end this conversation with a simple statement that my wife and I won’t be back.

Today, 11/17/2024, we tried to place an order for pick up and the girl who answered the phone was totally incompetent. When we asked to speak to her supervisor, Tracy, took the call and once told how hard it was to place an order with that girl, Tracy simply responded “okay” with no apology. We hope that when we pick up our order it will be there. We will be visiting an elderly relative and he requested to order from Bob Evans because he likes the food. Those people we spoke with need training on communication skills. If there were more restaurants that we could choose from we definitely would not be going to Bob Evans. It did not appear that Tracy really cared if we moved on. As a business owner myself, I take pride in my staff providing excellent customer service. Training the people who answer the phone at Bob Evans and being empathetic is crucial to your repeat business.

I have always liked Bob Evans. We were in Columbia City, and it really sounded good, but it has deffinatly went down hill in the past years. The food was not bas and the service was really good but the building is aged out and the atmosphere was stale. You deff want to feel comfortable.

Hostess took my carry out order and I paid for my bill. When I got my order it was wrong. They told me I could reorder and pay for it again and come in tomorrow to get my refund. Because no one there could issue credit. The so call manager on nights just issue a discount to the guy that was ahead of me. She wouldn’t even come out and talk to me she sent someone else. How ridiculous.
I will not step foot into the Columbia City branch ever again.

We ate there last Friday night. They have a special for two meals. We each had a nice salad. Our entree, I had country fried Steak mashed potatoes and green beans. My Daughter Nicole had Lemon pepper Chicken breast and mashed potatoes with green beans. Very tasty and reasonably priced ?

Well the food was delicious, until I bit into a bug. I had steak tips and scrambled eggs. 2 bites of steak were perfect. Then 1st bite of my eggs... something was crunchy... but it was scrambled eggs and ketchup.... so I spit it out into a napkin and stopped eating after seeing black and what I believed to be a leg... I let the waitress know I was done eating and couldnt eat anymore I think I bit into bug, the food was great but I just cant eat now. She took the full plate of food and asked if it was in the napkin I said yes. Thenmy family ginished their meal about 20 min. Othing else was said. The bill was brought. All meals ordered where on the bill invluding the meal I couldnt eat. I even told the manager at check when she told me. She said oh well it was probably just bacon Ill do 10%. Then was just done speaking... we wont be back. Its not aboutpaying for the food, it was they were completely dismissive of the whole thing and ignored it. Not even I am sorry or can we remake it or make you something else.... just poor customer service.
