As with any chain, there are general expectations in terms of both quality and style of prep. If you come here, you expect Bob Evans style food. The quality as prepped was exactly on par with what I expected coming in. I am not really a Bob Evans/Big Boy sort of diner patron most days. However the food was ready in a timely fashion for the hour being near the closing hour.Staff is very friendly and just the right level of attentive for this sort of restaurant, though I suspect slightly short staffed. The server makes up for that with a cheerful attitude and generally helpful air. Tables are bussed quickly and the restaurant is clean.Price point is fair, and considering advancing prices at McDonald's these days i don't understand the low patronage considering this is the only sit down diner in sight of the highway.Decor is dated and a bit roughed up with time, but it oddly gives it a bit of that old favorite diner that you don't care if the wood is scuffed or the booth has a bit of tape. Call me nostalgic but some places look better well used. Music is light country and at a low volume. If you're driving through Columbia City, this is a decent road stop. Give it a thought.

Came in for breakfast waited 10 minutes to be seated and they weren't even busy. Waited for 45 minutes for our food. My biscuit sandwiches came and they were cold. Told the waitress and she if course had to make an excuse that the cook just got back and was gone for 30 days? Like how does that make my sandwich cold? We've had similar experiences here. Thought we would give it another try. We won't be back here again.

Only 4 stars because it's so hit and miss there isn't much consistency. You are good but could be great. It's mostly the managers being the grumpalums bringing the rest of the staff down.

Slowest restaurant in three counties. Waited 45 minutes for under cooked pancakes and sausage. Won't be back.
Don't order the Everything Breakfast or you will get everything coming right back out. Service was excellent but food not so kind.

The food was ok, tho very overpriced. The building is beginning to show it's age, and not in a good way.

I am not sorry for this place ,Bob Evans , thru the years, it seems like nobody cares about service & quality.Literally, there were 4 tables occupied this evening. The foot took almost 40 mins. To get out of the kitchen.I understand that this place isn't a fast food chain restaurant, I worked on a restaurant business for more than 10 yrs.I'm sorry, but somebody as a manager needs to put the feet on the ground and check all these mistakes , or Bob Evans will follow the same pattern as Richard'sI can see Bob Evans going out of business.
