“For starters, came here for a morning date.I got the Bacon Apple Grilled Cheese, I know that sounds off the wall but it was so GOOD.(Mozzarella, bacon, grilled apple slices on too of apple butter)They had recently changed the menu, so their french toast wasn’t on the menu anymore like the online menu mentioned. However, the manager overheard that conversation and said she could make it. Their willingness to accommodate was appreciated :)Also bought some chocolate covered goodies from their fudge bar.Buckeyes, sea salt caramel chocolates, chocolate covered nutter butters,Chocolate covered oreos,Chocolate turtles,And the Amaretto chocolates were good.I’m looking forward to coming again.“

“As with any chain, there are general expectations in terms of both quality and style of prep. If you come here, you expect Bob Evans style food. The quality as prepped was exactly on par with what I expected coming in. I am not really a Bob Evans/Big Boy sort of diner patron most days. However the food was ready in a timely fashion for the hour being near the closing hour.Staff is very friendly and just the right level of attentive for this sort of restaurant, though I suspect slightly short staffed. The server makes up for that with a cheerful attitude and generally helpful air. Tables are bussed quickly and the restaurant is clean.Price point is fair, and considering advancing prices at McDonald's these days i don't understand the low patronage considering this is the only sit down diner in sight of the highway.Decor is dated and a bit roughed up with time, but it oddly gives it a bit of that old favorite diner that you don't care if the wood is scuffed or the booth has a bit of tape. Call me nostalgic but some places look better well used. Music is light country and at a low volume. If you're driving through Columbia City, this is a decent road stop. Give it a thought.“
