A must stop little diner in Crawfordsville!! We had one of the best breakfasts ever!! I wish we lived nearby because I’m sure we would frequent Alice’s for many a breakfast and lunch!!Really enjoyed talking with Alice’s daughter Penny and her son who own the restaurant! Super nice people who even were kind enough to make sure my wallet I lost outside their restaurant was returned to me!!This is a classic small town America diner!!

we stopped at Alice's restaurant in crawfordsville today. a grilled tenderloin with corn nuggets and a breaded tenderloin with fries set us back $27. the grilled tenderloin was a bit dry but had good flavor, I give it four stars. the breaded tenderloin was pounded flat and huge but was very dry and hard to swallow, 3 stars. corn nuggets bit too much breading to corn, not nearly as good as ones we had last weekend st Bernie's bar in frankton Indiana. french fries nice and crispy without being greasy or oily. we got there around 12:30 on a Friday and I'm guessing it's probably much better earlier in the day or week. unfortunately everything came in styrofoam, too many compostable options for that.

Great food nice staff. It wasn't dirty but it was the place could use a bit of face lift on the inside. It's run down a bit which makes it seem dirty. It's a great place to stop and have a quick bite it's not a huge space so if you have a large party call ahead and check to see of the have space I'd say.

The guy was really rude for no reason and everything behind the counter was dirtier than the average Waffle House somehow. I wanted to support them cuz I like helping out small businesses but the attitude and lack of cleanliness was very off putting.

Stopped here on our way up North and were not disappointed. Grilled cheese and wonderful chili was my choice and it was yummy. Owner/cook chatted with us a little and told us some of the history. Really cool place and would stop again anytime we are in the area.

I've eaten here a few times. I've always had a pretty good experience. They make a great breakfast. It's a pretty small place; Kind of a little hole in the wall, but it's quaint. There is just one long counter, and you sit on a stool at the counter. It smells really good since they cook right in front of you on the grill and the food has a home cooked feel to it. You certainly can't beat the price. The portions are pretty generous for the cost. There are some picnic benches outside too. Admittedly it's a little run down and could use an upgrade, but I think they keep the place pretty clean. They did recently repaint it. The new paint job is really fun, but I kind of miss the old simple sign they used to have outside. The parking lot is tiny, but I've never had trouble finding parking because it has never been too busy when I've gone there. The server and cook who are usually the same person are always nice and accommodating. There is very little wait getting your food. I don't believe they have a bathroom because the place is so small, but I could be wrong. I eat there a few times a year when I have time, so I will definitely go again.
