This was our first time here, my brother has spoken incredibly highly of this place in the past and it is gorgeous inside of this restaurant! My niece who's engaged, said it was so pretty she could see someone having their wedding in there. I had the burria which was Unreal how good it was, my son had the birria as well and my niece had the tampiquena. She's is originally from Texas and said it was fantastic. Our server was top notch. The jalapeño margarita was amazing....
Menu is hard to read only a handful of items have discriptions and only half of those are in English spent forever googling to figure out what things were. Only about 5 things had flaming peppers next to them and what I got wasn't marked as spicy but it was so spicy it was inedible. Waiter was asked to come back later for my drink order as I was still reading the cocktail menu but just stood there awkwardly waiting so I just picked something basic. We had to ask for milk...
I’ve heard about El Charro. As someone who has traveled extensively and to many Spanish speaking countries, El Charro is next level good. Price, atmosphere, and exceptional food. The best I’ve found in the Midwest.
