The Table Spoon and The Market are charming and unique dining spots in Crawfordsville, offering a thoughtful blend of good food and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant features a menu that rotates regularly, with consistent favorites like the super Yum salad and flavorful soups, especially appreciated during the winter months. The ambiance is cozy and whimsical, combining mid-century modern and quirky decor, and even the bathrooms reflect the attention to detail, hinting at the care put into every aspect of the experience. The menu emphasizes healthy options, including gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free choices, making it a refreshing alternative in an area where healthy food can be hard to find.
In addition to dining, The Table Spoon hosts fun and engaging cooking classes, such as crepe-making, where participants learn to make caramel sauce, hollandaise, and real whipped cream. These classes are praised for their interactive nature and ability to bring people together for a creative, bonding experience. The restaurant also offers weekend brunch and dinner on Thursdays and Fridays, which are well-received for their inventive and flavorful dishes like beef stroganoff, turkey brie & cranberry mostrada, and the GOAT sandwich.
The Market complements the restaurant with a well-curated selection of ingredients and local goods, providing a small act of rebellion against the food desert by offering real, thoughtfully prepared food. Visitors often comment on the outstanding split pea soup and the overall refreshing, quirky vibe of the place. Overall, The Table Spoon and The Market are highly recommended for those seeking healthy, tasty, and unique dining experiences in Crawfordsville.
