Doug is aggressive and uncomfortable. Not fit for the service industry and bad for buisiness. Came in sober for food hour before close and was rushed out on a saturday. Bar was loud and full. Swore at me and has a temper. Makes a hometown bar feel rushed and uncomfortable. Truly a shame. (To be clear the service and bartenders are amazing, this review is to bring attention to a problematic employee that alienated its customers.)

My wife and I like this place and the bartenders are great, but the night security doesn't know how to check IDs and kicked us out when we came back later. I have the Illinois REAL ID and my wife has a standard Illinois license and he thought hers was fake since they glow differently under a UV light. I can see this becoming a issue when people who are just trying to get a few drinks and play darts but are excluded from doing so because security doesn't know how to do their job, and that is just bad for business in general. This is the only negative experience I have had here. I shouldn't have to prepare to go to a bar the same way I prepare to go to the DMV

The best spot in the Crown Point downtown Square for food and drink, in my humble (and foodie) opinion. They have a pop-up kitchen, The Traveler, a small business that is open Wed thru Sat nights and it really is a hidden gem. The birria tacos are one of the best and their smash burgers are great, but their biscuits and gravy is my favorite. They always have new specials and soups, so you can keep going back and getting something different each time. They added smoked wings to their menu too.

Nice local dive. Good drink choices, but no draft beer. Also, since smoking is allowed, it tends to be smoky there..who knew? Still a good place
Bartender started an issue with me for no reason, then told me to leave when she started the issue, she needs to keep her personal feelings to herself and her political opinions as well. Melissa also needs to go research the supposed law she was trying to enforce from animal control.
