First time trying this place !!! I have had so many people recommend this place to me and finally had it !! Lechon, jubaritos & pastelitos 10/10 highly recommend it we also explained to the young ladys in the front it was our first time and they gave us all the sauce from hot to sweet. I seriously could not recommend Tania’s in Hobart more. The food is always great but THE SERVICE is everything!! Last Friday, my husband and I took our toddler for dinner there. Our baby was having a rough time and we decided to just order to go. When the manager heard this, he came over and said no no, don’t leave and sat us in the closed off area so that we could eat and our son could walk around. Not only was this over the top accommodating but then our server went brought coloring pages and even brought her own squishmallow to keep him company. When we thanked them, she said we all just have to help each other out! All this to say, we are truly touched by the kindness we were shown and we had a great meal (as always)!

Foods not that good had bistec en salsa and had to pay extra if i wanted tortillas.
Large natural drink 6.26 pretty expensive. Order 2 dinner plates 2 drinks and 2 appetizers 72.46

The best Jibaritos I’ve ever had including different restaurants in Chicago.

Rice was over salted. Beans weren't very good. Tostones weren't fresh. Atmosphere is very dark.and heavy. Service was on point, she didn't skip a beat but I definitely cook better at home. We won't be returning.

I would not recommend this place ordered some jibrritos the steak was dry and salty the plantian was not correctly seasoned the sandwich it self lack it's proper dressings had poor effort from the cook to even call this a specialty at this place the pastellio was not the best for the price that was paid I would have rather took a drive to the city I would give a quarter star I hope that these tik toker that don't know how critique food would not say its good lack lots of character

Firstly, what kind of jibarrito doesn't have garlic sauce on the plátanos, mayo or cheese? The bistec in my jibarrito so over seasoned that I could not even eat it. The lettuce was old and browning. The only thing good about my jibarrito was the slice of tomato. It was the only thing that was as it should be. Not worth the time or money.

Really the only Boricua food around but we have a good one here in East Chicago! The food is amazing , only complaint is that I can’t bring all my grandkids in at one time because of the limited seating

Not a bad place. Good customer service. The music and food reminds me of my beautiful island PR. I asked how is the coquito and lady said “it’s homemade, they make it so good it’s her fav..” … when I got back home, I had a good arm workout, by shaking the bottle up and down while cap was off!, because I couldn’t get any of the coquito out. I was so tired of shaking, my arms got tired and I just tossed the whole thing away.. it was super thick and at the end of the day I didn’t even want to taste it anymore.

My son and I have been here a few times now. Food is very good. Try the $2 Tacos on Tuesday!
