GREAT place to eat!

Normally I would review big woods differently. Typically the service is slow but the food is great. This last time, service was excellent but the food seemed like they were trying to cut costs. Salads were skinchy and the hand tossed pizza was so thin we asked our server to be sure it wasn’t a mistake. Normally we leave stuffed and over-eat. This time we were still hungry. If you spend the money on artisan pizza, you expect it to be wonderful and filling. Possibly it was whoever the chef was that day, but it was disappointing for sure.

First off I will start off with we love Big Woods! But not the one in the strip mall in Edinburgh/ Taylorsville. Only 1 person working the dining and bar. No cold beer on tap so we had to buy a 6 pack. Couldn’t mix and match even though this was the only option. Hostess was pretty much non existent. Service was slow. No bags for carry out or leftovers. I don’t know who manages this place but it appears the answer is “NO ONE”
I feel sorry for the staff who is loyal and stays working there.

Rarely do i ever gove a 5 star review but this place definitely deserves it! Everything was awesome. We got the breadsticks with nacho cheese sauce and garlic butter, the smoked wings with maple bourbon sauce and peppercorn ranch (best part of the meal) , and the steak pizza. Definitely recommend!

I had the worst experience at this pizza shop. We sat at a table for about 10 minutes, and no one came to take our order. When I finally asked for a server, she arrived, threw the menu on the table, and told us we weren’t allowed to seat ourselves. Her tone was incredibly rude.
When I confronted her about her behavior, she simply laughed. It was shocking and disrespectful. I’ve never experienced such terrible service in my life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

First off, Chelsie is the best bartender-super nice and attentive. Food at Big Woods is always good. We split a thin crust Margherita Pizza and it was perfect for two. The Put a Fork in it is a nice tasty beverage - pumpkin ale with a sugar cinnamon rim. Right now the Maple Bourbon Cream is Buy 2 Get 3 free - 5 bottles for the price of 2! Great stop while you're shopping the Outlets!

I ordered 2 Greek salads with ranch, breadsticks with nacho cheese and beer cheese, a 16-inch Primal pizza, and a 10-inch Smokehouse pizza.
They added sugar to the ranch dressing, nacho cheese, and beer cheese. My partner taste-tested them to confirm that my taste buds aren’t broken. She agreed that everything tasted excessively sweet. She was able to tolerate it, I was not.
Look at the image I uploaded. That’s their Primal pizza. The meat is barely existent. It’s essentially low-quality cheese bread with a skimpy sprinkle of meat on top. I ate 1 slice and could no longer tolerate it.
The Smokehouse pizza was edible.

It would be a seven star restaurant if a review of let us go that high great food great atmosphere reasonable price definitely recommend stopping in and trying to Pizza also a good little strip mall to shop at they also have a five and below not far from there. The Primal pizza was good and the barbecued pulled pork pizza is good as well.
