The wife and I wanted to check out this place as we are trying to branch out, so, the BEST thing is the service, EVERYONE who worked there was happy and made us feel welcome, so top tier on that, the location has plenty of parking , and we were sat on the outdoor view (it was march so they had plastic walls up) but the décor looked amazing, place real clean table and chairs nice (see pic of view) as an app we ordered the curds and YUM, I ordered the fish and chips which I wasn't too impressed about, it was kind of bland but the fries were really good. my wife ordered the barramundi fish sandwich and she said it was good. I will def come back to try out the other meal items. I had the pilsner as I'm normally a domestic light beer guy, and it was great!Visited 3/2/2024, sat outside (ish), service 100%, food 50%, drink 100%, will update next visit! I recommend this place, its Jon approved

We arrived just before the dinner rush, got a great table on the patio. Beautiful view! Service was excellent, everyone that walked by or we walked by said hi and welcome and on the way out have a good evening. Food was good. I ordered the breaded barramundi which was served in a ciabatta bun like a sandwhich. The ketchup was house made and great. Fries were housemade and good as well.

The food was good but the customer service was even better. Went with friends to trivia night and despite the building being packed our waiter was incredible and welcoming.

My wife and I thought we would try brass elk for our most recent date night and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, pointedly the candied Brussel sprouts were exceptional! Staff was friendly. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed but being called the brass elk I would have liked to see a little more brass used around the building/decor. All in all a great dining experience.

Stopped in for a sandwich and a beer flight. The brew master knows his stuff! Creative flavors plus a couple of more traditional. Enjoyed them all, and I took home a growler to relax with over the weekend. Definitely will be back.

Food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch! Chris was our server and was fabulous! He offered not only great service, but great recommendations! Can’t wait to get back and try even more items from the menu! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

I ate there in early December and headed back there this week. I’ve been craving their Brussels sprouts for a month! Sat at the bar and the new bar manager provided high quality service. Great service and great food!

I want to like this place because it’s local and the decor is cool but they are making it tough. Both times without the restaurant being busy the service was ungodly slow and inattentive as far as refills and things. This time we were seated next to a closet that was opened while we were eating and we got bombarded with fruit flies because it was the closet where pop and liquor are kept. Why seat us next to it if you’re going to be getting in it when no other tables were taken. Pretty disgusting… I mentioned it to the manager and he seemed more annoyed with the complaint than anything and offered no remedy for dealing with it.The fried PB&J is phenomenal but we won’t be back to enjoy it anymore. Plenty of other local establishments who care more about their patrons.

Have been coming to this restaurant for a couple of years now. Has always had its up and downs but seems to be finally finding its stride. On my latest visit everything from top to bottom was fantastic. We came in on a busy friday night as a table of 6. Were sat within 5 minutes and had drinks in front if us less than 5 minutes later. The bartender Ryder was incredible. Had great knowledge of the menu as well as a cocktails in general. He treated us like his favorite guests and this is the first time ive had him serve me there. Will definitely be coming back soon to try out the new menus. Very excited to have this place as a go to

Food was OK, not great. Service made us feel like we didn't belong there. Strange vibe. Won't be coming back when we are in town. Seems like that's what the staff would prefer anyway.

Came to Brass Elk after a lovely night at the Wellfield Lights expecting a nice way to wind down our night. The place is your typical brewery aesthetic with wood accents and nice lighting. It looked nice inside. The service, however, was a different story. First, we were mistakenly called to get seated and the wait staff was flustered and rushed to find us a table. We were seated in the terrace and we had many problems here. The door to the terrace was very heavy and should have been propped open as wait staff and other guests had to strong-man the door open. The door was constantly being open and closed, as there is 7+ tables on the terrace. Another gripe we had was a server was rolling silverware behind us and they were clashing silverware for all to hear. A little consideration here would have been nice since we were right behind this station. Service as a whole took a while, from putting our order in and getting our tab, it was too long. The food wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Our Kaarage had good flavor and were crispy but we wished we had more. I had the Bleu Smash, and it cooked well and had a nice flavor however could have more blue cheese crumbs and more sauce. My Mom had the Indy Pork Sandy and she said it could have need more mayo since the sandwich eats a little dry. My brother had the French dip, no problems here. The fries were pretty tasty but definitely needs katchup on the side, especially since they give you a nice serving. Overall, the service definitely could have used some improvements. We felt the price point for the handheld could have been better for what we got. We won't be back.
