Plan and simple...ham was very thin and dry... Grits were watery not creamy.. . I had 2 pieces of sourdough toast 1 was next to the heal and the other one was next to it.. I didn't complain but left not happy... Sorry I'll try 1 more time..
The chicken and dumplins were great, corn too, the green beans i wouldn't order again, but the rice was hard and seemed like it had been getting cooked all day and didnt taste good at all. The service wasn't great, she didnt listen at all, and tried to make me pay for that rice. So I just took the rest of my dumplins and left. Cracker barrel is usually great, but not this visit

This used. To be one of our favorite places to eat in Elkhart, Indiana. My preferred meal was the lemon pepper rainbow trout. It had a fair price, the fis was thick meaty & juicy. This last time, the Sat before Thanksgiving. I got my fav. Meal. The fish was about 2 mm thick, dry and not tasty. The fried okra was skinny (never had been that way in the past.) My husband, brother-in- law and mother all had the same disappointment in their meals. My sister got a breakfast meal. She liked hers. So, moral of this story, get breakfast meals if you go here
Very disappointed in Cracker Barrel. Last year’s Thanksgiving dinner was mediocre but at least passable. This year was my last straw.
They charged over $17 for a single turkey plate that came with two thin strips of turkey, a small scoop of green beans, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, two rolls, and a small piece of pie. On paper it sounds fine, but the portions were tiny — less than what I’d put on my plate in one trip at a family Thanksgiving.
For three plates and a tip, the total was over $65, which is absolutely ridiculous for what we received. For that price, I could have almost bought an entire turkey, sides, and made a full Thanksgiving dinner at home instead of getting three small, underwhelming servings.
On top of that, the quality at Cracker Barrel has been going downhill for years, and this visit just confirmed it. As a paying customer, $65 for three meals should go a long way, and it simply didn’t.
I do not recommend Cracker Barrel, not just based on this experience, but on multiple disappointing visits over time. This was enough for me — I won’t be back.

Not enough wait staff to get every table served in a acceptable amount of time. Food was very good and our waitress was excellent.

Thought we would give this place another try. We were very disappointed the food quality is still has not improved. Truly miss their maple bacon chicken. And our waiter was basically the only Waiter on our side of the restaurant we never even got refills on our drinks. In the dumplings were so salty you couldn't even eat them

Food was definitely old n reheated. Staff did not keep up with our dirty dishes. It was not at all a busy time. Staff would walk by without picking up our 5 empty glasses. They were out of dressing for the turkey dinner. Then for the 2nd time in a row did not have enough peach tea to sell a half gallon. Disappointing. Last time the food was great n service was good too.

amazing food wonderful staff
It was 11 am we received lunch/dinner menus I was told they were serving lunch and there would be a 30 to 45 minute delay on our food if we ordered breakfast! That doesn’t make any sense????? We ordered breakfast anyway. It did NOT take even half an hour. How does this even make any sense. Our server was great and food was too.
