THIS IS ENDANGER PEOPLE NOT PLEASING PEOPLE!!I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL POSTER HOWEVER THIS NEEDS CORPORATE ATTENTION I WILL BE POSTING AND SHARING EVERYWHEREI finally had the strength to walk away from Penguin Point today.. after all of the mental damage I went through I had enough... I do not recommend supporting that business at all... They had us working in dangerous conditions with full knowledge of what was happening.. no hot water, no functioning toilets, electrical issues that were shocking people, the grill caught fire and almost burned someone, withholding paychecks, cutting pay with no consent, and the list goes on and on. Corporate is aware of all of these issues and doesn't even have the money to pay maintenance so they expect staff to fix the issues themselves.. they had employees forced to work during the blizzard with no heat in the building.. it's awful. It needs shut down.. people need to speak out.. but I've had enough of the abuse. Do not support penguin point... Please take this information and do what you would like. I worked at 1147 Center St Penguin Point in Elkhart.

Seems that since Penguin Point sold to a Texas affiliate.. They've decided to close stores that were doing well AND NOT PAY EMPLOYEES..THUS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS..SOME INVESTMENT...NO CASH FLOW NOW..WITH NEW OWNERS..

The employees are pretty friendly, and the food is great! If you have to wait, it's only because food is made to order for the most part. That said, the bathroom is quite horrible no matter when you go there, including no good way to dry your hands after washing if they have soap. Hopefully all of that gets resolved soon, especially since this is the only Penguin Point still open in Elkhart now!Oh, and no shakes until they replace or fix the ice cream machine.

After 21 years, I have given up hope for this restaurant these are pictures of my Super Wally’s. These are pictures of my two super Wally said I got today. They were free but I left them there because they were horrible. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the first ones I had.. ever since he went to the Smashburger’s, the quality has left the building.

Was really disappointed. I usually love penguin point. The fries were the only thing that was warm. The tenderloin was cold!!! The grill was down so they only offered fried food. Won't be returning to this one. The PP up north on Bristol Street is really good and the foods hot not cold

After the horror story that was just reiterated to me, I'm not sure that I myself will ever return to this (particular) location. My father & stepmother dined in for lunch today, 8/29/22 around 11:30am. They both ordered the Tenderloin meal, his without cabbage slaw on the sandwich and hers with slaw. They watched for several minutes while their food sat ready under a heat lamp before it was brought out to their table. Upon receiving their food, my stepmom took the top bun off her sandwich to see that there was Wally sauce on it. To her shock & disgust, on top of her sandwich sat BLACK, ROTTED cabbage slaw. She immediately returned to the order window & showed the woman working there her sandwich. Her response? "Yeah I know, I just threw the rest out". Umm.. then WHY would u think it is okay to serve outdated, spoiled food to a customer?! The woman offered no apology, only to try to move on to the next customer in line. My stepmom demanded a refund, and went hungry. My dad said his sandwich was so overcooked, it yielded 0 flavor. I think the saddest part of this story is.. my stepmothers first job was at PP working the drive-thru when she was 15 years old. Now over 60, she has been giving the Point her business for over 45 years. After today, she said she will sadly never return. It left an eternal "bad taste in her mouth", without (luckily, literally) leaving a bad taste in her mouth. Get it together, Penguin Point!!

Good food at a decent price. Service may be slow at time but the quality has been consistent.

This used to be a good spot then the manger lost all his employees after disrespecting them, now the food is horrible and the wait is over 20 minutes with 3-4 people in the drive through. Would not recommend.

Wish I would have gotten the older gentleman's name that was working tonight. Haven't been here since I was a kid and I was skeptical, but it turned out to be really good. Chicken tenders were nice and crispy and I loved that the basket came with crinkle fries and a roll. Large servings for a fair price, quick service, and the person who served us our food was very kind.

Great food as always. Professional & quick service. Plus, their dining room is open...
