I have multiple food allergies (9 to be exact) all falling outside the top allergens. I emailed the restaurant ahead of time and was assured they could safely feed me and that the kitchen takes allergies very seriously.
We came for my birthday lunch and I had pizza made with pesto sause since I can't have tomatoes. It was really good.
Someone else dining with us can't have gluten and got the cauliflower crust pizza and it looked amazing amd crispy. She said it's was really delicious.
Only bummer was that there was no safe dessert. Which I'm used to. I was just hopeful that since they knew we were coming for my birthday and what my allergies were that there might be something safe.

Dinner started out pretty rough. My wife is visually impaired. We checked in with the host and he wanted to seat us outside, I’m assuming because of her guide dog, assuming it was a pet. He had to check in with the manager and sat us in the dining room. It took a bit to get served, apparently the server didn’t know we were her table. Once we got over that hump, everything was 1st rate. The appetizer special was a bruschetta that was close to the best I’ve ever had. (Can I get the recipe for the topping?) I had the black and blu fillet, and it was excellent. The vegetable and potatoes were excellent. My wife had the tuna salad sandwich, and it was good as well. It’s not inexpensive, but the quality was 1st rate.

My wife and I enjoy an amazing experience every time we come here. Every dish we’ve had has been life-altering; it gives you a new twist on dishes you think you’re already familiar with, and changes your palate completely and perpetually. My wife and I cannot get over their burgers and Reuben (and my wife doesn’t even like Reuben’s, but she LOVES the Vines’ Reuben). It’s to the point where every burger we have outside of the Vine we find ourselves saying “well, it’s a good burger, but it isn’t as good as the Vine.” If you are seeking a great experience with great staff, a chill environment with good vibes, and PERFECT food- the Vine will accommodate you.
Very boujee place. Food was.ok. They have a chef with some fancy skills. We ordered a crab dip but the chedder was too strong and I wasn't going to say anything but when the service staff noticed she took it off my bill which was very nice. Not necessary but nice. The rest of the food was delicious. My only complaint is no French fries. Lol It was a good one time experience.

In June we were moving my mother in law from New York to Minnesota by car! After a long day of driving we stopped in Elkhart for a much needed reprieve to rest for the night. Looking thru many dismal dinner choices in town I came across The Vine on a Google search. After reading the menu and knowing my mother in law's preferences I knew this is where we needed to go. The issue being they were scheduled to close for the evening 10 minutes after we arrived in town! I thought to myself I'll just run in and ask if they would make 1 more order; even if it had to be takeout it would work. I walked up to the bar area and was greeted by a very friendly young man that immediately said he would ask his manager to see if they could accommodate my request. Seconds later Jeanne the owner came out and in a very friendly and professional way told me they would help me out. This was truly a miracle. Her kitchen staff had been working hard all day due to a jazz festival down the street but she said YES! Without hesitation she quickly went back to mobilize her staff and get my large order started. The young man at the bar continued to chat with me and provided me a large ice water while I waited. A Godsend after the day in the car. Within 20 minutes all of our food was prepared, superbly packaged, and labeled. They even offered to help me carry the multiple bags and pizza boxes to my car! Here's the most important part of this long story...THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING! My wife ordered a filet mignon and it was cooked to the perfect temp and exceptional quality. My very particular mother in law RAVED about her Mahi Mahi. Saying it was better than many plates she's had even in New York... and we all know true New Yorkers can sometimes be hard to please. Everything from the salad starters to the side dishes were all perfectly seasoned and prepared with a true appreciation for cooking. I can't believe I'm saying this but we may go back to Elkhart for a weekend away just to dine here again! Jeanne's 20+ years in the restaurant business is evident in this restaurant. The atmosphere, the food, the service, everything, absolutely everything is top notch. Get in the car and go there tonight... you will not be disappointed.

The Vine is a wonderfully inviting upscale establishment in Elkhart. The culinary offerings, from appetizers to desserts, are varied and oh, so tasty. The staff are friendly, and the service is attentive. The decor mixes the charm of the historic building with contemporary fixtures and seating. A trip home to Elkhart is not complete without dinner at The Vine.
