The owners were so friendly and made us feel right at home. It was like eating pizza at my aunt's house! The pizza was great and the pepperoni knots were even greater. We will be back to try their subs next!
We had the absolute pleasure of eating an amazing pie from Vesuvio Pizza last night. They went above and beyond for us and we are forever grateful. Absolutely the best mom and pops pizza we have had. We ordered garlic toast with cheese which had a garlic butter on it to die for. The cinnamon sticks with their family's icing were so good! We got a pepperoni and mushroom pie and it was SO good! We hope to be back in the region again so we can experience it again.
We got there just after the rush died down, chatted with the very pleasant owner throughout our visit, and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! The sauce is delicious, the mushrooms are fresh and not canned (so you get that deep earthy flavor), everything was fresh and flavorful, and we have a new favorite pizza place when we're in the area visiting family! We even expressed interest in their newest pizza that wasn't yet on the printed menu, and she made a mini one for us...
