They are really trying at this place, but in my opinion they need to to a complete overhaul of their menu to fit small town elwood customers tastes... the operah house pub menu was much better.

The waitress was friendly and helpful but the wait for food when your about the only one in there was slow. Food was ok not great . Got the pork tenderloin plate that came with tenderloin , mashed potato, corn and gravy. The corn was swimming in the over peppered gravy , and the whole plate of food was not even warm. Another member of my party got coconut chicken tenders but they were out of fries so settled for kettle chips straight from a bag . Supposedly came with a veg but never received it. When we questioned about it the waitress said it didn’t come with one. But she could add it to the bill. We declined due to the wait form the original order. Don’t think it was worth the money for a few chicken tenders with bagged chips. Another party member got kettle chips and it was nothing but the bottom of the bag.( found the menu online and the coconut chicken tenders does come with a veg )

The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly. She was the only one waiting on tables at the time so she was pretty busy but she kept checking on us. The food was just OK. I felt like for the price it was average. The breakfast platter seemed reasonable. But all you got with the chopped ham sandwich was chips. Other sides were an upgraded price.

You really need to try this place!! The food is really good, and a bit different. My 2 cousins and I met there for brunch. I got my husband a piece of peanut butter pie to go, and they put it on ice and bagged it up for me, very thoughtful, I had an hour drive home.

Great service at this place. Friendly staff
The food was good a little overpriced. But the atmosphere sucks you could hear the lady in the kitchen, just yelling and talking horrible to someone downgrading them not OK. I will not be back nor recommend not worth it. Sad Because this is a Beautiful piece of history.
