“Put this on your list when you visit Evansville. The ambiance/decor reminded me a little of a bar you'd see in the PNW. Nice little patio too. Excellent beer selection. Fantastic menu. The double burger w/cheese is under $10 and is delicious and filling. Zack in kitchen is a standup dude who is a true Peephole ambassador. The bartender who looks like Kate McKinnon is always on top of her game.“

Instead of using liquid white queso, they used a slice of cheese that has been placed later in a microwave. The fries were crunchy good but that part 😔“

“This rating is specifically for their biggest booth. Service here is kinda mid at a 3 star, but everything else is literally perfect. The good gets a 5 because of the Cheeseburger wrap. It’s literally perfect. I get it without the vege and vege-like stuff on it. But they give some kinda sauce with it and it’s amazing“

“I've been a patron of Hacienda on First Avenue in Evansville IN for43 years! This restaurant is as close to authentic Mexican cuisine in Evansville, in my opinion.
The only reason for the 4-star rating for the atmosphere is that I prefer smaller or cozy dining areas. Being older in age, dining with families with children is difficult for my husband and I to have a conversation.
We usually start our meal with a fountain drink and chili con queso. The chips are thin and lightly salted. They are sturdy enough for the cheese dip, however. They offer two sizes of dip, a cup, or a bowl. This is nice based on what your entree will be.
We are creatures of habit with regard to our meal choices, but we always look at the wide variety of appetizers, salads, and entrées. Hacienda offers new menu items often, which our daughter enjoys trying. She has never been dissaentrée.
I highly recommend this restaurant on First Avenue as well as the east side location
