“The Miller House is one of our all-time favorite restaurants! The food is amazing and never disappoints. Joseph has been our waiter the last 2 times we've been there, and he is the best! Very attentive and interactive. We love taking visitors and it's our go-to for my birthday every year.“
“The drinks are amazing, some of the best I ever had. I personally recommend the orange dreamsicle and the blue drink. The shakes looked very good too. They have appetizers and chicken in addition to their awesome drinks. It has a nice atmosphere and is a chill place to hang. They also occasionally do cool events like trivia or other things. “Well, I wish I would've taken pictures while I was there because the ones on here don't represent it very well. Food/Drink: For starters, I got there after the main kitchen closed so they only had fried food. It was pretty late, I didn't even expect them to have any food. I just had fries, and they were good. I didn't have any alcohol, because I no longer drink, but it sounded like unreasonably cheap prices for the most part, at least compared to where I'm from. They also have cans of soda, which is my preferred style. The menu isn't huge but I'd also prefer that over overwhelming. They have plenty for everyone. It is 21+ at all times. Pool: The 7 foot tables were in pretty good shape, definitely better than the average bar table for sure. I didn't get a chance to play on it because others were using it, but they just got a brand new 9 foot table with an awesome, square, huge LED light for the top of it! They also hold tournaments pretty often, so it would be a good place to play for a long time, one day, without having to commit to a league of any sort. Service/Atmosphere: It's small, what some might consider a dive bar, but I think it can be so much more! I say that because the service was phenomenal. The bartender was so sweet and funny and honest and kind. I needed it that night, so I am truly grateful. All of the folks that were in there were also really nice as well, which to me, speaks of how the business is run and the people that they attract to their business. I'll be back if for nothing else than to say hello if I don't have time to play, but only if I'm passing through the town of course, it's a couple hours away from home. P.S. (nothing to do with this review) Yelp, I don't know if you actually read these but for some reason when I put a "." the next letter after the space doesn't capitalize. Not a huge deal, but I like for my reviews to be as grammatically correct as I know how, and having to go back to correct those is just a little tedious. This is the only app that it happens, so I was just curious if anyone else had the problem as well. I'm on an iPhone 14 ProMax if that makes a difference.“
“Best bar in Owensboro! I love being able to sit down and have a conversation with my friends (and be able to hear them) and the staff exceeds my expectations every time. They go above and beyond to make sure every time I’m there is better than the last. They allow outside food to be brought it so you can to dine from the best surrounding restaurants while having an amazing drink with it.“
“Escaped Nashville for a weekend away in Owensboro and absolutely loved this spot!! The weather was beautiful, so we decided to spend our time out on the patio. There were multiple patio tables and games available for anyone to enjoy on a first come first serve basis. We got there at around 11, so it was pretty empty and we could pick whichever table. The service was friendly and attentive without being annoying. We got a flight of ciders, which were delicious, but we were seriously blown away with the food. I recommend the brisket nachos and the brisket grilled cheese. Both dishes were huge portions and absolutely delicious. I will for sure be back if I'm ever back in town!“
“The food was excellent with the exception of the complimentary chips and dip, those were so so. I had a fajita with chicken, beef and shrimp and it was delicious. The service was quick and friendly.Aside from the chips my only complaint would be that the restaurant is a bit dirty. Nothing extreme but 4/5 for that reason.“
“Could have been a bad night but I can't recommend this place at this point. We went for a meal during burger week and after sitting for 2 hours with no food delivered to the table it was time to vacate the place. Wish them luck but not my buck.“
“This was our first time eating at Mellow Mushroom and let me tell you I was not disappointed!! Food was amazing hands down best pizza I've ever had. Service was great, prices are great, and if you love beer they have a lot to choose from. Can't wait to dine here “
“Definitely DO NOT recommend this place. Yes, they were busy, but the waitress could barely be bothered to take our order. once we placed our order we waited 50 minutes for chips and cheese, burgers (made from frozen patties), and fries. The burgers were overcooked and had no flavor. They were short staffed with 3-4 people actingas host, Bartender, and servers. The manager, who we spoke to, had been out talking to another table twice for about 10 minutes each time! He couldn't be bothered to help his staff or get food cooked.“
“Briarpatch is a staple in our family. We went all the time when I was a kid, and we decided to go for my dad's birthday. I always loved being able to walk by the grill and watch the chef's cook, and I did the same this trip. The decoration had been changed, but the changes look wonderful. The food was fantastic, just as I remembered, and our waitress was attentive and quick. I was amazed that the salad bar was as fresh as it was with all the people that were eating the day we went. The strawberry butter was fresh and delicious. Steaks were cooked how we ordered them, and wow, the shrimp were FANTASTIC.“
