“Recently, experienced very poor service. We walked in, took the both at the window, the one situated at the open end of the bar. The bar tender could see us seated there. One of the servers was on a smoke break. Cool. That means there's not a lot going on, right? Neither the bartender nor the server ever acknowledged us seated there. Never said hello, never took a drink order, never so much as glanced at us. Even, when the bartender delivered cups to the water station, RIGHT THERE, practically at our table, not a glance in our direction sitting at the table with nothing on the table but our elbows for 20 minutes. We noticed the table next to us got up to get their food from the cook. We just left. Is there no more full service on Saturday night?“

“The rib eye steak sandwich was delicious today. Huge slab of steak for a sandwich. Tender is an understatement. Each bite was super tender .
I've been going there for years at the food is never disappointing. The chef is in the open kitchen right behind the bar making homemade french fries and homemade soups. You'll never go wrong grabbing a bite to eat at sportsman's grill on Franklin.

“This rating is specifically for their biggest booth. Service here is kinda mid at a 3 star, but everything else is literally perfect. The good gets a 5 because of the Cheeseburger wrap. It’s literally perfect. I get it without the vege and vege-like stuff on it. But they give some kinda sauce with it and it’s amazing“

“We stopped at this Hacienda Mexican Restaurant for the first time on our way home. We were traveling from Evansville to Lafayette. We used to have a Hacienda in Lafayette decades ago, but now we have to find them when we are traveling around the state. It is the chips and salsa that is the main draw for us. They are kinda like a nostalgic comfort food. As far as the meals go…I usually get the wet burrito. Everything is delicious! Our server Amanda G. was incredible. She was a super server, tending to everything and everyone. We will be back on our next trip to Evansville and back.“

“I've been a patron of Hacienda on First Avenue in Evansville IN for43 years! This restaurant is as close to authentic Mexican cuisine in Evansville, in my opinion.
The only reason for the 4-star rating for the atmosphere is that I prefer smaller or cozy dining areas. Being older in age, dining with families with children is difficult for my husband and I to have a conversation.
We usually start our meal with a fountain drink and chili con queso. The chips are thin and lightly salted. They are sturdy enough for the cheese dip, however. They offer two sizes of dip, a cup, or a bowl. This is nice based on what your entree will be.
We are creatures of habit with regard to our meal choices, but we always look at the wide variety of appetizers, salads, and entrées. Hacienda offers new menu items often, which our daughter enjoys trying. She has never been dissaentrée.
I highly recommend this restaurant on First Avenue as well as the east side location
