Ordering off an extensive menu was so hard because of all the fabulous choices! Drinks and appetizers were outstanding. Cannot wait to come back. “My man and I have been twice now and I don't know why we don't go more. The food is AMAZING!! Kids liked it too. We have enjoyed several entrees, appetizers, drinks and desserts. the staff and owner are friendly. It is clean. We have enjoyed both dining in and carryout. Only tip is to be cautious on the spicy scale. Even a 3 out of 10 can be pretty spicy. We went last night and I already can't wait to go back!“

It has one of the best bartenders in all Evansville, and in my opinion the best I've ever encountered in this continent. “Always have Mondays off and we've been trying a different "bar & grill" every week. Today we came here a little earlier than we normally get out and we're in the mood for breakfast. We tried their ham, egg, and cheese potatoes. We loved the fact that the grill was directly behind the bar and could watch the food be cooked. Serving size was more than expected and we got full. Love the idea that you can purchase a bottle of liquor to take home when you're done and it saves a stop at a liquor store later. Waitress was very accommodating and polite. We will definitely be back again !!“
“I’ve lived in southern Indiana and never stopped here. Live 30 minutes away, been by, but never stopped. I popped in here on a Tuesday for lunch. To my pleasure, fried chicken was the special! “My family and I took my husband out for his birthday, there were 9 of us. Mariah was our server, she was the best! She was fairly busy due to it being the first Friday of Lint, she kept us informed, kept our drinks full, always checked on us. Her personality was great and she even bought my husband a beer for his birthday herself. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back hoping to see Mariah again. I am a bartender myself and she highly impressed me! You're lucky to have such a great server!“

“Took a work colleague here who was visiting from out of town. He is a huge bourbon collector (over 400 bottles in his collection) and was very impressed with the big collection here! “We eat here often. We stopped in April 2024. Service was great, food was excellent. We had all traditional German food, we have been to Germany. Gerst Haus is as close as it gets. We did have Fried Oysters for the appetizer. They were great.“

“Rarely do I take the time to “recommend” a restaurant, but my wonderful experience this past Saturday deserved the recognition. Samuel’s is one of my fiancé’s favorite places to dine and for some reason I hadn’t been. Now that I’ve been, we will be making this a regular spot. For appetizers we ordered the truffle fries and the brussel sprouts. They were both cooked to perfection and exploding with flavor. If you liked those items at CKB when it was open, then you’ll love these. For entrees we had the steak and hot chicken sandwich. Both were phenomenal. The menu prices are extremely reasonable. In fact, I think the prices are a tad low given the high quality of the product. If you haven’t checked out this gem, you’re missing out.“
