“I cannot tell you how wonderful the customer service is at the Evansville, IN Honey Baked Ham store! We ordered a ham to be delivered to a friend from the corporate store and found out today, 3 days before Christmas, that the delivery would not happened until the 27th!! I made a desperate call from South Carolina to see if the local store could help in any way and you would not believe how wonderful everyone was! They were most certainly dealing with lines of customers on this day and yet, my problem became their problem as they searched for ways to save the day. When we realised there were no delivery options that would work before Christmas, Eric, the store manager, offered to make the delivery himself! This is really unbelievable - he didn't know us at all, but he most certainly thought we would not be a repeat customer because we are not from the area, and yet he cared enough to personally take care of us. I think his actions speak volumes.“

“We went to visit the River Kitty Cat Cafe three times while we were in town. We had a great experience each time. There was a cat advocate volunteer in there each time to make sure the cats were comfortable. The coffee, macarrones, and protein shakes were tasty. The staff and cat advocates were knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in town.“

“The portions are humongous and the price are low low low... my daughter and I got two slices of pizza that was bigger then her face and a ICE drink for under $5.00 and all of the workers were pleasant.... This was our first time eating here..we normally shop and run.... definitely will be back just to eat and people watch....... Like who doesn't like to people watch and eat loll.... “I have eaten at the Kite and Key for breakfast a couple of times before and everything was wonderful, but this time I tried lunch, and not so wonderful. I was there early, 11:20. I had a chef salad which wasn't bad but not nearly as big as I expected. The menu said, " too many desserts to list", or something to that effect. I asked the waitress what kind of desserts they had. She said only muffins and cinnamon rolls. I chose the cinnamon roll, which looked delicious, as it was covered in nice warm icing. But the roll must have been very stale, because even after warming, I had a hard time cutting it with my knife. The waitress was not very attentive in warming up my coffee. I had to ask the first time, and she never came back to ask me again. The price was very reasonable, but I was disappointed.“

“Just left from here and I was very pleased with everything top to bottom!Yes, it is an old school dive style diner with fantastic prices! Especially for this day and age. You can eat here for less than a meal at McDonald's. You can tell it's a locals spot with multiple regulars. As others have mentioned, regulars have coffee cups with their names on them. Unique and fun!The waitress was quick to seat me and take my order. Very simple no frills approach and I appreciate that. You get realness from people in these environments and not some corporate script.Food came out very timely given how many people were there. I enjoyed everything on my plate and it did taste more home style than most diners I've been. Big plus! My only preference would have been crispy vs chewy bacon. I probably could have requested it but not a deal breaker. It still has good flavor I just prefer crispy. The smoked chop had good flavor along with the eggs, potatoes and biscuit.Parking is limited but you'd expect it. It's literally in a neighborhood and across a small street to Garvin park. I would highly recommend it. It's inexpensive, laid back, friendly good cooking.One side note, prices on the menu is cash. They do charge a small convenience fee for cards. I was pleasantly surprised they had this notice posted on the doors and register . Some places just wait until you pay to say anything. I respect it here at the prices they charge I did not mind the extra .38.“

“The Daily Grind is an amazing hidden gem found in the hustle and bustle of downtown Evansville. From the food, coffee, and the atmosphere it is a wonderful experience and one of my favorite places to visit for a quick lunch and coffee pick me up!“

I was lucky enough to get the last piece of Mira’s own Shepherds Pie & it was delicious & such a generous piece ; I was able to take home enough for a repeat . Hubby was in-gastronomic heaven with his sausages, scramble eggs & REAL HOME-FRIES , grilled to perfection with onions & followed by raisin toast . It is ALWAYS a treat here at Sunrise Cafe & the service , staff & Mira’s home baked tarts , apple fritters & pies make this a MUST EXPERIENCE. PS: Their Fresh homemade soup is to die for .“
